Should I be worried?

A bit of background first...

This is my second pg, my first one ended in premature birth of my DD at 32 weeks. No medical reason ever found as to why my waters broke early, no pre-eclampsia etc.

This pg has been more difficult, bad sickness etc and also had to have an ECG due to flow murmur and a feeling of my heart missing a beat every now and then. ECG was normal and this was done 2 weeks ago.

For the past 3 days I have had a headache that doesn't go away with paracetamol, it's there all the time. At times it's bad and then it goes away but returns. Especially bad in the mornings. I also feel breathless, this is also bad in the mornings.

Now, should I just call NHS direct and get an appointment for OOH to check my blood pressure? I just don't feel very good.
Or should I call the unit for advice?

I don't know if anything is wrong and don't want to come across as a paranoid pregnant woman due to my history and cause unnecessary fuss.

Just call the unit for advice - what they're there for. If you really feel unwell or 'not right', get yourself checked out. Probably nothing but you'll feel much better being reassured at least :)

Afaik, if you have constant headache you should get it checked out. Chances are it's low blood pressure or something- but v important to rule out pre eclampsia. Not trying to worry you, just best to be on safe side (my mum's a midwife and when I told her I'd had a headache for a few days she insisted I call hosp)

I'm 18 weeks so per-eclampsia is unlikely but I will call them now. Thanks.
