Probably coincidence but I spent yesterday and last night with period type pain that gradually got worse and turned into contractions some of which were painful enough to make me think things were starting, in fact I was timing them. Then they got further apart and stopped, or at least they eased enough so that I slept a few hours.

Now I am just having the odd pain, nothing major and the achey feeling so am assuming it was a false alarm but it seems to have coincided with me taking RLT capsules. Could it be them? Am 40+1.

Almost certainly not Grin Whether they do anything at all is debatable, but what they're meant to do is tone and strengthen the uterus, not bring on contractions. The contractions are more likely to be down to the fact that you're 40+1. Labour can stop and start a few times before it properly kicks off, or it can plod along slowly for a while until it starts building up. Sounds like it won't be too long now though. Good luck :)

Hi used2be I have been in the same situation since yesterday, 37 weeks with DC3 but was induced with 1 & 2 so have no idea what early labour feels like!

Mines all stopped last night but have period pains starting this morning so planning a long walk and a good lunch.

Fingers crossed for you Smile

Thanks Earnestdullard. My first labour I had a similar thing but it started up immediately after I got up which hasn't happened today. Bit fed up with it wish it'd make its mind up!

Bree its so frustrating isn't it? I can't remember much of early labour last time and ended up being induced too so I feel like a first timer! Fingers crossed for us both!
