SDP?

Last time I saw my MW she said I was suffering mild SDP. Pain in hips and lower back if I walk too much (I'm a teacher so I'm active all day) Today I've had weird pain/numbish kind of feeling in my left leg, is this linked to SDP, is baby sat on a nerve or is it because I've been sat on my arse all day resting on the sofa all day? Any ideas?

Hi
I had SPD/PGP in my previous 2 pregnancies & have it mildly (so far!) in this pregnancy. I had a strange numb kind of tingly feeling in the outside of left thigh + hurt to touch in last 2 pregnancies & for a short while after too. Midwife put it down to a trapped nerve but could be related. So I guess I haven't helped much! haha, but you're not alone!

Sounds like sciatica to me. I've got SPD but it's in my pelvis between my legs.

I figured it might be, I'm hoping its baby sitting in an odd position and on a nerve and she'll move when I go to bed. It doesn't feel like the pain I've had with SDP so far. I might try a massage and see if that helps. Thanks

Hello had this last time. Hoping not to have it this time. As a medical expert - not! - I would agree it sounds a bit nervy.
Even so, whatever it is, you could ask for a physio referral?
Make sure you're carrying your body well, legs up straight ahead of you when sitting down not kicked to one side which misaligns the pelvis, I seem to remember!
