Chest expansion?!

Wondering if this is just me... ~26 weeks and have only gone up one cup size, but in back size I started at 32 and went up to 34 pretty quickly. Invested in a 36 yesterday and to be honest with you... It feels tight!

Does anyone else have this? Feels odd to be increasing this much. Does the fact that the baby is currently breech have anything to do with it?!

Yes, I thought everyone got this - your ribcage expands to accommodate your organs.

I'm 24 weeks and bought a back size up, from a 30 to a 32, and yeah they are starting to feel tight! I'm already on the last set of hooks and feeling a bit constricted, I'm hoping that's it (if not then I'm not buying new ones, I'll buy those bra strap expander things you can get instead!).

Good to hear it is normal.. I was expecting some increase but just a bit taken aback by the scale of the expansion

Yes! And my back is still a little bit broader than pre preg. It does go back quickly after birth tho

Yep me too - usually a 34 but currently a 38 (and those are starting to feel tight too) am 38 weeks. Hoping it all goes back after baby arrives it else I will have a redundant drawer of lovely bras!

Me too - was 34, now 36; it's worth noting if you buy some maternity bras they come with lots of hooks so you don't need to buy extra bras as time goes on :)

Have been having weird tingly feelings in my ribcage area which might be due to expansion to accommodate organs.. Best not to think about that too much actually...

Mine dont seem to have changed yet. I'm 25+3. I thought they had, ordered a new Bra - 3 send backs later i'm still wearing my original bra and it feels ok.

The bigger boob thing is the main thing i'm concerned about - my current bra is a 30HH - the thought of them getting bigger is scary!

I like my boobs too - they're pretty up still and i really hope breast feeding wont spoil them too much.

The back thing freaked me out too. I was expecting bigger boobs but fit some reason the back widening just makes me feel fat! But yes apparently it's the rib cage thing. 33 weeks and my pre pregnancy 34 is now a 38. And yes I can see how that might soon become snug too!
