Yes for sure. I had nausea all day. Voming every night. I was still keeping meals during the day down. GP gave me some pills to stop the evening vom. Get yourself to the GP, and you have my sympathies. Smile It went at about 16 weeks if that's any help to be replaced by awful heartburn

In my experience depends on the GP. I went to see a female GP first (actually specifically asked for her for this reason) and she was horrible and told me to get on with it and that when she had ms she'd eat a boiled sweet between each patient which did the trick Hmm Then a week later I just wasn't coping and braved going back to see another doctor and he was amazing and called a consultant for advice on which drug combo to give me.

I had THE worst all day nausea at this stage so couldn't even say I couldn't keep anything down like you, so I'd definitely say yours is bad enough to go. What I'd also say is that for me actually once I did start being sick more often it was actually a relief - nausea building to throwing up SO much nicer than nausea just building and building and building with no relief.

Good luck at GP!

I could write your post word for word, except I am 10 weeks (are you on the jan 2013 antenatal tread?!).

I went to the docs at 6/7 weeks as I was the same: all day nausea, waking feeling sick, and it was/is really affecting me. I also had no sickness with ds, so it was a total shock.

I was first prescribed cyclizine, which didn't really help, and just today I've been prescribed avomine. Hoping it does the trick as I can time like clOckwork when I'll throw up now (always after lunch at least), and spend all day feeling sick. Not nice. You have my sympathies. Get thee to the doctor and refuse to leave without a prescription!

Go to the GP.

I ended up vomiting so much that I ended up in hospital on a drip at 9 weeks pregnant. Basically I'd been sick so much that I ended up dehydrated and losing nutrients. Got urine test done which showed +++ketones in my urine.... not quite sure what ketones are, but was told they are bad!

In the end I was in hospital for 2 overnights, had 5 fluid drips during that time :(

Am now 29 weeks, still have bad nausea, but haven't been sick since 25 weeks.

OP, like you this totally took my by surprise. In my first pregnancy (also a DS) I was sick a grand total of 5 times the whole 9 months! This time I could have been sick 5 times a day and the day I was admitted to hospital I was sick 9 times :( :(

I eventually went to see my gp after 3 days of keeping no food down and virtually no water. My lips had cracked open with dehydration and I was starting to feel spaced out and detached from reality.
I got buccastem it helped me eat a meal and drink that night. I only took it another 2 days as it seemed to stop working.
Good luck to you it's horrible :-(

Hi buntycollocks - love the nn - had a miscarriage at 6 weeks in feb so haven't joined thread yet - ironic that morning sickness is good sign but making me feel so miserable ! Have 10 week scan next week so maybe after that.
