Hello,

Today I had an early pregnany scan. I am just 6+1. They have found TWO heartbeats! There are multiples in the family - my mum's a twin and dp's dad is a triplet but O.M.F.G. How the hell will I cope with TWO? I already have a dd who is just 2 and still doesn't sleep well. My dp have only been together a year and this pregnancy wasn't exactly planned. He is delighted and had a good blub this morning with happiness at seeing it all. But me? I'm flipping terrified!!

I have no advice, just MASSIVE congratulations!

Ok it'll be hard work, but you'll survive and just think of all the double smiles, giggles, hugs and kisses you'll be getting!

you have 8 months left to be terrified, just try to be excited right now. my friend had twins, an accident and as a single mum and she was soooooo terrified of being able to do it at all let alone by herself but she did and her kids are 2 now. it'll be hard but you'll be fine and you'll love them so much it won't matter. try to just enjoy you pregnancy for the moment and think more on the double the trouble situation later :) congratulations!

Hi,Conratulations! you'll be fine. I have 4 year old twins (no twins on either side) and I'm 9 week pregnant again, already feeling my uterus popping out and thinking it might be twins again (or triplets with my luck :) ) , patiently waiting for my first scan :)
Just take a deep breath and don't stress yourself, twins are great :)

congratulations im currently 31+4 with id twin girls and so know how you feel, i already have 2 ds and was in a similar boat at 6 weeks when i found out as my youngest was struggling to sleep, i never planned for 4 dc but that is the hand I've been dealt, there is also multiples in our families however id twins are a complete chance!!! did they say what type of twins you have?? you'll have lots of scans and checks and i now can't wait until my babies arrive, come join us on the twins thread where there is lots of support from mummies to be and also new twin mummies, its a tough ride but so so exciting :) :) :)

Congratulations on your double bump!! I am 18+3 with twins. Also got the fright of my life at my 12 week scan. You will get over the shock.

Oh HUGE congratulations! I know it will be incredibly hard work but I've always been jealous of people who have or are twins. It's like you have a ready-made best friend (please don't anyone burst my bubble here!)

Try not to panic too much; you will survive and it will be lovely. :)

Congratulations. It'll be fine! At least you have 2 boobs. If you were having triplets, you'd need a boob rota system.
