im taking dcs to legoland next weekend and am 6 months pregnant(very visibly). I realise that i wont be able to go on many rides but want to prepare the dcs 6 and 8 a bit about what we can do, Ive looked at the website and can see that many have the restriction signs for pregnancy/heart problems etc. does this mean that everything else will be fine or are they likely to say no to others when i arrive? im thinking things like, fairy tale brook, the little helicopters/balloons that go up and down etc, not the obvious ones. Has anyone ever been whilst pregnant?

Hi Frazzled - had to look twice at this post, wondering if I'd posted it and forgot! My DC1 and 2 are 8 and 6 too, and I went to Legoland about 4 weeks ago at 29 weeks pregnant.

I was a bit concerned I wouldn't be allowed on much, but was 'lucky' that it was the freezing, drizzly day, and so I had a big baggy winter coat on (and it's all in the bump and was luckily still quite fit) so even though lots of rides said 'not advised for pregnant women', if I thought it looked quite sedate (e.g. atlantis ride), I just went on it anyway, but things like the Viking ship, I bowed out of gratefully...

I went on the balloon thing that went up and down - smoother than a bu journey here in SE London.

It's much more physically rough travelling on London Underground than anything I encountered at legoland! But I realise I could 'hide' my pregnancy under a baggy coat, so no one challenged me - you could call Legoland up and ask?

Good luck with #3...I'm starting to worry I have forgotten everything about babies! :)

thanks thats great, i will look for my most shapeless clothing so that i just look a bit fat and go for it! Im not intending on going on anything very exciting anyway so it sounds like it should be fine. did you go on boating school? that has an advisory sign and its a very tame ride as far as i remember.

I seem to remember going on boating school when I was about 26 weeks.

Have a great day.

I went to Disney land when I was 5 months pregnant. Most of the family rides I was allowed on no problem - its a small world, dumbo, Peter pan etc. there was one little train ride that the operator wouldn't let me on though and it just went round and round! It wasn't the runaway minetrain or anything it was for toddlers Hmm

We went in March so luckily I could hide under a big duffel coat.
