help!!! is it???

got up this AM (about 5 mins ago) and had noticeable tummy cramps - assumed was wind as didn't go yesterday. anyhow, couldn't even wait to stand up fully b4 had dribbles - (assumed was peepee as i've been bit lax with pelvic floor) anyhow got a towel and went to the loo, pushed a touch as if to pee and did pee then stopped so wiped - loads and loads of CM so wiped again and there was what can only be described as a clear thick snail trail type of substance .

I know bubba's fully engaged now but I didn't expect to have a show the day after being told he was!

this is the first one and when I stand up can feel the pee/fluid coming out - there wasn't much colour to the fluid and no smell.

now I just have aches in my pelvic area - but again could be wind - might try to poopey in a bit, should I ring DH home do u think? his bosses are being real twats right now. shall I ring the m/w I don't wanna look a fool if it was only pee and a slight show but also don't wanna run the risk of anything if it's my waters. iycwim.

and to think today I was gonna go for a coffee with a mate - not to mention paydays not till tomorrrow and tesco.com's not coming till friday!

dont laugh at her! Childbirth is worse than a man being castrated with no pain relief!!!!

Give her lots of support and hugs, and get back on to the MW ASAP!

Will be waiting....

oooh hurry up - I told dh that I would have the dining room painted by the time he gets home from work. Can't do anything until I find out how it's gone.

M/W just been....

she says maybe tomorrow, but probably today he will be born. She's in v.early labour and it could take up to 24 / 48 hrs.....hehehehe

Ooh - only just caught up with this. Wow Munz in early labour then? How exciting is that???

With dd, I had exactly the same experience as you - bit of a show and then dribbly waters, no 'gush' to speak of. Took me ages to convince someone that they'd actually broken, so I'm pleased your midwife has acted so quickly to confirm things for you!

Will keep checking the thread to see how you're getting on - wishing you lots of luck and hoping it all goes well for you!

Just spoken to her DH..... MW is on her way back as contractions are thick and fast and Munz is nearly crying (bless her)

She is about to have a bath to see if that eases things.

Will report back asap.

Awww Munz, good luck mate was just checking back to see how you doing, dh make her doing the breathing thing, it does help! although it may not feel like it at the time.

Kelly, since 6am, off to midwife for 39wk appt now so will check back on you all later

Woo-Hoo! Sounds like things are really moving along!

Still mild crampy-like tightenings here for me so hopefully it will make induction quicker if nothing else.

thinking of you Munzie and hoping that it is all over soon.

MW been again... examined. Cervix still right back.... not dilating yet. Munz is now in bath trying to get some pain relief!

Oh how exciting, bless her on the pain front, not such a distant memory for myself (5 weeks) it is awful pain but i found it so much better to do the breathing through the contractions.

Is she having a home birth? or just trying to stay at home for as long as poss?

She is staying at home for as long as poss.... the word "epidural" came out earlier, so Im guessing its a sore one!

Her DH has said he will check in with me again in a few hours, so will update you all again then xxx

don't blame her for maybe having an epidural, i had one with my first & wanted one with 2nd but labour was to fast & i was to late.
