help!!! is it???

got up this AM (about 5 mins ago) and had noticeable tummy cramps - assumed was wind as didn't go yesterday. anyhow, couldn't even wait to stand up fully b4 had dribbles - (assumed was peepee as i've been bit lax with pelvic floor) anyhow got a towel and went to the loo, pushed a touch as if to pee and did pee then stopped so wiped - loads and loads of CM so wiped again and there was what can only be described as a clear thick snail trail type of substance .

I know bubba's fully engaged now but I didn't expect to have a show the day after being told he was!

this is the first one and when I stand up can feel the pee/fluid coming out - there wasn't much colour to the fluid and no smell.

now I just have aches in my pelvic area - but again could be wind - might try to poopey in a bit, should I ring DH home do u think? his bosses are being real twats right now. shall I ring the m/w I don't wanna look a fool if it was only pee and a slight show but also don't wanna run the risk of anything if it's my waters. iycwim.

and to think today I was gonna go for a coffee with a mate - not to mention paydays not till tomorrrow and tesco.com's not coming till friday!

Munz - sounds like your DH could do with his 2 weeks off.

Does he work where my DH used to? They made him split his two weeks up as "your baby has arrived at an inconvient time for us!"
He's left now.

Agree with Nemo, I'm feeling broody too, DS2 is only 8 months!

Hope its all going well munz!

munz · 22/02/2006 09:26

hunker u don't know his boss- last night he came home and told me they're sending him away for a week the week after i'm due, the's just been away for 2 weeks. the gits.

waiting on the m/w coming out.

friz - honney u're more than welocome - I want to get my hair done, and at least make sure we have food in the house - not to mention my shopping rip/visit to the pub - i'm more upset if I cna't do that! lol.

I remember my waters dribbling like that with ds2, then the waters completly went within about 4 hours.
Have some breakfast, phone the midwife and then dh, then go and lay down and try and get some rest (i know it can be hard but even if you try laying on the seatee, and watch telly)

Your mw might even ask you to go in to be checked and will advice you on what to do!

Good luck, and try to keep us updated!

(its weird how you feel when someone thinks their labour might be starting)

Nemo1977 · 22/02/2006 09:26

mumatuks..DD is 9wks And DS is 2.4yrs..so according to dh i have more than enough..lol

Cadmum · 22/02/2006 09:27

Oh my! I really hope that I also have some clarity shortly as all of New York will be waking up in the next few hours and I will never make it to the hospital during rush hour.

I am only feeling crampy but having regular tightenings as well. So far no show or waters for me though and both DD and DS2 started with a gush...

You still here Munz?

Frizbetheexpansionset · 22/02/2006 09:27

Cool, I shall keep checking this thread and the march one then J&R's Mummy, must go and do things with dd now, keeping fingers x'd I have a competative baby and it wants out now caddy somehow doubt it tho, mine usually like a lie in (just like me!)

Nemo1977 · 22/02/2006 09:28

MW is coming out later this morning!

mummy23 · 22/02/2006 09:30

where abouts r u munz? how far is your hospital?

munz · 22/02/2006 09:30

ok m/w coming out in a bit she says sounds like my waters.

mum - no he's army - the boss doesn't have kids and told DH he didn't have to have his paternity leave straight away he could go away to scotland first for 2 weeks then come back and have it if there was enough men. DH told him to pee off.

lol I am terrible and was the same when Ds was about 4wks old. Started going on about it when DD was 2wks much to dhs annoyance as when I was in labour and pregnant I had said 2 would be fine..lol I always thought I would have 4 or 5 kids which is a bit much for dh who is an only child..lol

Cadmum · 22/02/2006 09:31

Munzie: I am in a much worse state than you are if things kick off for me today! We still have no furniture for another 6 days and DH is insanely busy at work. Do you think they would notice three children under his desk in the office?

munz · 22/02/2006 09:31

hospital is only 2 mins up the road I can see it from my hosue but darent drive the car - will have to get the welfare car to run me up as next door is at work! lol.

Glad that MW is coming. Hope you can get some rest in the mean time. You will not sleep for the next 20 or so years as well as you did last night...

munz · 22/02/2006 09:34

when i was having ds2, i tried to walk it to the hospital when in labour (contractions where 3 minutes apart), and it was a 5 minute walk from where i lived but it took me amd dp about 25 minutes, could not walk when having contraction but it was my idea to walk (didn't think it would be that bad)

Cadmum · 22/02/2006 09:35

Munz: I needed that positive side of things! We do have masses of room to play at the moment. DS2 will miss the wide open wood floors for his hockey games!

munz · 22/02/2006 09:35

lol, yes well I managed to go from 11 till 12.45 then a wee, then 12.45 till 6.00am when DH alarm went off then about 6.30 till 8.30ish (well 5 mins b4 I posted)

When I hAd that backache you described, it was at 1am, then I had ds by midday. Contractions started an hour after the backache.

Anyone going to start taking bets when baby munz arrives? I reckon it will be this evening.

munz · 22/02/2006 09:38

dh just walked in the door they've let him come home he's excited but said it best not just be pee! lol.

gonna go and have some toast with him will check back later on.
