Hello there!

Just signed up, so am all new and fresh. Thought i'd just post a little hello message to get me started.

I'm 25 weeks today. Having a great pregnancy so far and loving my bump, currently in bed with the man watching BB and feeling/watching baby boy kicking away in there. Love it!

Will hopefully get into the swing of these boards soon enough and not be too much of a lurker. :)

How weird, I'm 25 weeks today and also new (been lurking a while though).

I'm pg with twins though and have a 10 mo ds so am exhausted and grumpy

Beans1977 · 06/06/2012 11:46

Hi ladies - I'm 24+6 today so right behind you both! It's DC#1 but our second pregnancy after a late MC last year - was a bit nervous to begin with but very excited now and loving feeling all the movements and having a bump!

Feeling much better this trimester than the first one, and enjoying buying a few bits and thinking about what life might be like when we become three!

Congratulations on your pregnancies!

LadyLillyWilliamSnowflake · 06/06/2012 11:58

Oooh, congrats Beans

I'm excited but terrified at the same time. 3 under 2, sometimes I feel like I must be insane, we wanted dc close in age, but this is closer than I had planned Blush

ithastobeNAICEham · 06/06/2012 12:06

Hello there!! Congrats on the pregnancy!!

I'm also 25 weeks but this is my 3rd pregnancy, I have a DD who turns 8 tomorrow Grin and I suffered a MC a few years ago!

I can't wait for my baby girl to get here now!! I am so excited and officially annoying my OH (other half) with the baby brain (note to self, the kettle does NOT go in the fridge!!)

Good luck!!

Ooo Congrats to us lot. :)

Yeh, baby brain has kicked in for me too. Mainly going blank mid sentences and speaking way before i think. eg: went swimming with the man over the weekend, he said we should have gone to the beach and swam in the sea - i replied with 'yeh, but the sea doesnt have a wave machine'. So silly! Confused

This is my first pg, so it's all very exciting. We were told that it had been a twin pg at the 12 week scan, but the other one had not made it past about 8 weeks.

We havent bought much stuff yet, there's just so much choice. We spend so much time looking at it all but not actually taking the plunge to buy any of it.

I'm the same Miky I have so much to buy, I need some form of triple pram and a new car Sad

My baby brain is ridiculous this time, I just seem drawn to walk into anything and everything, I bought tampons the other day Hmm and then put them in the rice and pasta cupboard, dh thought I had actually gone insane, first of all for buying tampons

ithastobeNAICEham · 06/06/2012 13:38

My Dsis baby brain is amazing! So far she has rung me to ask when my DD's birthday is, on 3 seperate occasions!! She has also broken her DH iphone by putting it in the freezer, dropping her own phone into the mop bucket (apparently it turned into a ninja in her hand Grin)

My mum just sits there laughing at us when we mention things we've done or even stuff I've done while I've been there (putting the carrots back in the cupboard, they've never gone in the cupboard!)

Thanks to some amazing friends of mine I pretty much have everything I need, pushchair is already in the kitchen, awaiting use, moses basket is upstairs, bouncer is in the cupboard for the time being and all my soon to be here DD's clothes are away in her drawers!! I'm massively prepared but now I'm getting bored waiting!

LadyLillyWilliamSnowflake · 06/06/2012 13:41

Wow you really do sound organised, can you come and organise my life?

I have so much to do. Annoyingly, ds will be done with a lot of things, like his cot etc after they're born which means that in pretty quick succession I'll have 3 of everything and need to buy three beds.

My little sister loves it, she's so scatty (she's 16) but at the moment I'm worse than she is. She has spent an awful lot of time here just laughing at me

ithastobeNAICEham · 06/06/2012 14:30

Try and get cot beds for the twins, rather than just cots and keep an eye out on ebay/freecycle/friends to see if anyone is getting rid of a cot bed for your DS, invest (beg/steal/borrow) a sling! I do believe you can get double slings (I may have imagined them though!!) I've seen cots on ebay for 35 quid before now, I'm waiting til my LO is here to get a cot.

Have a look on ebay for an ABC pushchair for when the babies get here, its what my sister has for hers and they are ace!

Erm... Anything else?? I've gone blank lmao!!

LadyLillyWilliamSnowflake · 06/06/2012 14:37

erm... I have Moses Baskets (I cant think if this is the real name for them. This is what all of my conversations are like these days) for when they're born, was going to wait until they're here to get cots, but that's a good idea, I don't think my back would be able to cope with a double sling, either that or one or both of them would be suffocated by boobs Blush. I'm getting quite uncomfortable now, I dread to think what it's going to be like by 38 weeks Sad

I will have to start seriously looking for pushchairs soon, they just all look so big and clunky that I can't get excited about them.

ithastobeNAICEham · 06/06/2012 14:51

Moses baskets is the right word, I'm exactly the same... I find my self describing friends I've known for years like "she has the really long hair and always wears jeans" my OH has no idea wtf im going on about!

Apparently baby brain is just a physcosamatic thing in pregnancy and doesn't really exist! (My best friend is a physcologist and doesn't believe this!) Wow, quite impressed with that last sentence lol!!

ithastobeNAICEham · 06/06/2012 14:57

If it helps my DSis is getting to about 28 weeks now and is beyond uncomfortable! She can barely move some days and has to have somewhere very comfy to sit if she comes over.

LadyLillyWilliamSnowflake · 06/06/2012 14:58

Ask anyone that's had a conversation with me today if it exists Blush at 9am this morning I answered the phone like this "Good, um morning? Lady uhhh Lilly speaking how can I help?" Turns out that I couldn't help and the woman laughed and asked if I'm pg, I looked down and said yes, she said me too, I'm exactly the same. So we have a long conversation about pregnancy and due dates etc (I couldn't remember mine)

LadyLillyWilliamSnowflake · 06/06/2012 15:25

I just have to have somewhere comfy to sit anywhere, as long as it's not too low otherwise I can't get back up. I need assistance getting up off the tube now Blush

ithastobeNAICEham · 06/06/2012 15:45

I'm well aware of the fact that it does bloody exist lol, my best friend has been pregnant 5 times and doesn't believe the supposed study they (roughly translated to a group of men, I imagine) did into the effects pregnancy takes on the body!

I must admit, it did make me laugh in a few places, you could tell that the 'people' who did the study had never been pregnant before or got any where near pushing a baby out of the fanjo!!

LadyLillyWilliamSnowflake · 06/06/2012 16:30

Sorry, re-read your post, I though you were saying that she doesn't believe it exists Blush

ithastobeNAICEham · 06/06/2012 17:06

Its ok!! I've done the same on here before!!

LadyLillyWilliamSnowflake · 07/06/2012 09:41

Phew, I'm dot being a complete dunce then Grin either that or we both are
