You know who you are...come on in for a little bit of whatever it takes to get ourselves through these early weeks.

Gin substitute suggestions appreciated.

So. I think I will be 6wks tomorrow according to LMP. But uncertain as I wasn't tracking OV.

What've you calculated thus far as your EDD?

Yikes! My LMP was the 2nd - we are spot on cycle with each other.

Question - why do you need to test tomorrow? There are many reasons the colours can differ (none that imply there is anything wrong with your diffage) and the reality is a line is a line.

I completely understand your extreme desire to test again and again but what about waiting? Seriously. Take the next two days off from testing to and just be pregnant. Because you are. Then you can test again on Friday morning when you'll be 5.1.

I'll skip two days of POAS if you will...

Hello peeps... just popping my head in to offer what support I can. I am a few weeks on but still menkulling at times. Not sure that will help much to be honest!

That's my mantra, too Bugs.

Good for you for switching to the prego vitamins. I started up the day I tested BFP - since we weren't actually ttc I wasn't on anything at the time. Trying to eat loads of folio acid filled things. Favourite seems to to kale with butter!

Today's symptom check: ridiculously tender boobs, morning nausea, and a horrible case of the dropsies. Also I expect to feel exhausted after a long day at work - last night I crashed really early, even after a long midday nap and this was a day of doing nothing!

My big craving for the past 3 days has been toast with cream cheese and tomatoes. Yum amazing.

Glad to have you pop in - may I offer you a lemon ginger fizz?

*folio was meant to be folic, obviously...

Hello, adding my voice of support here too. I don't think the menkulling ever stops but having got to 18+1 it does get a little bit easier to deal with after the awful fug of the first trimester. It's so much harder to be positive when you don't feel like you have drunk a bottle of gin the night before each day. I know with previous experiences it will be impossible to relax completely, but I hope you're able to enjoy your fantastic diffedness too.

FriendofDorothy · 06/06/2012 13:49

I am feeling a bit better now. Think I am at 12+3 - every now and then I get a bit weirded out but it has definitely improved.

I never went on the pregnancy pregnancy tablets in the end. Just took folic acid 5mg and VitD.

I think my brain has shrunk. I meant 'specialist' pregnancy vitamins.

I think I should be shot like an old knackered horse.

jewelsandbinoculars · 06/06/2012 18:31

Quick shout out of support from here too, as a random person in the ether who a) understands The Fear and b) has fingers firmly crossed for you.

My personal menkul took the form of burying my head in the sand and pretending none of it was happening (hence posting silence). But I have kept an eye on you all and was DELIGHTED at the double diff. Congrats congrats congrats! Would attach nipple tassles etc but my norks are scary

I am now 15+, and porky starting to show, and have told some people, and am beginning to allow myself to get used to the idea...

blonderthanred · 06/06/2012 18:46

Jewels I am so pleased to hear from you, I have been thinking about you a lot and hoping things are going well.

Bugs, I am overjoyed to be 18 weeks and yes, I've felt the baby for the last week or so. Except the last couple of days, not so much. So... still menkulling. Two weeks till next scan.

My 8 wk scan (after a bleed) was really reassuring so I hope you and LP get one then too.

I've taken Pregnacare which I got cheaply from Amazon. Thinking of taking extra iron as I've been v dizzy, going to check with doc or mw.

So pleased we have a proper band of PESH now, let's empty that BESH thread over the next few months.

Bugs, repeat: a line is a line.

I did tests every day for nearly three weeks after my BFP. Eventually forgot a day and then slowed down. Whatever works for you, do it (although don't bankrupt yourself, mine were ICs).

I did find it helped me to follow the Babycentre app quite early on as something positive to focus on, although I can understand if that's not for you.

LauraPalmerish · 06/06/2012 21:32

I totally understand Bugsy - I tested this evening when I came home from work. Don't worry, we're still doffed. Our lines are lines.

It's so luffly to have you join us Binocs and Blonde (sounds like a cool 80's detective team) - please stick around and slap us with the fishes when we need it! We promise to do the same when laying time comes near. When are everyone's EDDs?

OP posts:
FriendofDorothy · 06/06/2012 21:38

I reckon I spent about £50 on pregnancy tests after I found out I was diffed. No internet cheapies for moi!

EDD 16 December. I am aiming for 12/12/12!

blonderthanred · 06/06/2012 22:16

Mine is 6 Nov (TBI's bday).

Sure Dot, Jewels and I will all need some wet fish slapping at some points too. I know I do on a daily basis. So more than happy to chuck some in your direction whenever required (ms permitting).

On that subject I'm pleased to report there have been some squirmy feelings in my belly again after two days of quietly panicking! Maybe s/he was just tired after the weekend's Jubilation.
