Hi guys
Recently found out I am pregnant with DC2 and I have seen things saying that you feel movements etc earlier than with first?

Basically just wondering why this is?

It's supposedly because you know what the movements feel like and can recognise them more easily.
This isn't my experience though. I felt dd1 at 15 weeks. Am currently 17 weeks and haven't felt a jot I think because I spend all day running around after a toddler and never sit still long enough Grin Other friends of mine say the same too!

I felt DD quite early & have felt subtle little movements even earlier with #2 (currently 16wks).

I think it must be partly because you recognise them (afterall, early movement feels a bit like it could be wind/digestive gurgles etc) and partly because your muscles are more relaxes after 1 full term pg, so maybe don't resist as much.

I think maybe your nerves are more attuned to it too, because I have had wind that could only be wind (definitely not pg at the time) and my brain is registering it as feeling like limbs kicking. It's really really weird, & slightly freaky I accept, but makes me think my nerves were registering something that my brain interprets as something else iyswim. I know its def baby now, though, as the movement has been in the exact spot the sonographer found baby in during my dating scan.
