lower back pain

Hi, I'm 23 weeks pregnant and over the last few days I've had excrutiating lower back pain, it's not constant, just when walking, specifically when I put my left foot down I get a sharp pain on the left lower back. I'm not sure if its muscular or whether it's a nerve.
Any ideas? Not sure whether to go see a chiropractor or midwife or gp although I suspect there is little than can be done.

Second pregnancy, didn't have this in the first, my bump is a lot bigger this time.

I've only just come out of the other end of hypermesis & really wanted a break! It's too early to be waddling!!

Any advice, would be gratefully received.

Sciatica? Shooting pain down leg? Get yourself to GP and get referred to physio ASAP. I had back pain with my second. Exercises and support should help. Hope you feel better soon.

No, the pain doesn't go down my leg, just at the base of my back.
I think you're right, a trip to the GP might be in order, it's becoming rather ridulous to walk, let along bounce on the trampoline with my 3 yo!

I had this it was agony on one side of my back I thought it was a slipped disc ? But when I woke up the next day it had subsided a little and now it's gone but sometimes I still get a trace of it.
