Hi all,

I'm 17 weeks pregnant and in the past week I have been woken up in the night twice by an excruciating pain in my right foot!

It feels like I have either dropped a brick on it or sprained my ankle. The first time it was so painful I was literally crying out in pain - poor dh wondered what on earth was going on at 3am!

At first I can barely put any weight on it and then by the time I have hobbled to the bathroom for paracetamol, the pain has completely disappeared and I'm left wondering if I had dreamt the whole thing Confused

Anyone else had anything like this?

Like a cramp? There is nothing quite like a pregnancy cramp.

I had cramp loads with dd and it's not the same. This is more in the top of my foot. Maybe it is cramp...just a different flavour!

Sounds like pregnancy cramp to me. The worst pain EVER. It goes pretty quickly but there were occasions when I cried through the pain. I never cried during labour.

Oh ignore me!

I used to get my foot seizing up quite often in the second trimester - usually when I was walking the dog, cue not being able to walk and me trying my best to keep hobbling along because standing there in excruciating pain wasn't helping the situation. I also used to get my calf muscles seizing up - generally when I was in bed and so painful it would also make me cry out, plus the usual cramps etc. Not noticed it so much in the third trimester. Another joy of pregnancy I'm afraid.
