Hi, I'm mum to a 2 year old & 6 weeks pregnant with number 2. Am starting to get worried coz not had any of the same sympotoms I had with DS1. I had bad nausea & morning sickness with him & nothing this time except bloating, tiredness & sore boobs! I've now done 7 pregnancy tests just to make sure!! Lol! Any one else have different symptoms second time round? Did it result in a different sex baby? Thanks

My symptoms are totally different, to the extent that I was 10 weeks before we realised that I'm pg. Not sure if it's a girl/boy thing but I think it's just a case of every pregnancy being different.

Congratulations!

Ds1- morning sickness was cop able, sore boobs, bit of tiredness

Ds2- horrendous sickness where I lost over half a stone by week 12, being sick throughout every day. Complete exhaustion.

Pg with dc3. Hardly any symptoms. The odd day of feeling sick, sore boobs, tired every now and again. Fin out the sex next week hopefully.

But I was convinced ds2 would be a girl after the difference in symptoms. He couldn't be any less of a girl, he's a proper little bruiser with proper boy features!

Im PG with 3rd. 1st time I wasn't sick until 7 weeks. 2nd time I was sick from 5 weeks and this time I wasn't sick at all. Im now 28 weeks so I wouldn't worry, they are all very different.

DD - 1 week sickness at around 8 weeks pregnant then nothing until heartburn at 7+ month

10 weeks pregnant with second now and have had horrid nausea, some sickness and total exhaustion since 4+1 - knew I got off to easy with DD!!

Very different this time round, no sickness or nausea in first 12 weeks was totally convinced there would be bad news at 12 week scan but now 25 weeks and all fine.

Don't know about sex.

With DS I had sore boobs, felt sick and exhausted from weeks 5 to 12. Now 13 weeks with DC2 and have had none of the obvious symptoms. Had 12 week scan on Friday and all is fine in there. Much preferring this pregnancy! :)

Very different second time round. Virtually no symptoms with this second pg, where as first time I was sick as a pig and totally exhausted. I got so worried the second time round I didn't believe I was pregnant at all - I'm now 36 weeks!.
Same sex both time btw.

DC1: debilitating exhaustion from before even getting a BFP, asleep by about 6pm every evening. Lots vomiting, couldn't even go NEAR most food. Boobs were agony

this time, I'm tired but mainly because sleeping is light and rubbish, not falling asleep everywhere and anywhere, and have only been sick once, am a bit nauseous and off some normal foods but not to the extremes of last time. Boobs feel a little breastfeedey but not sore

not had 12 wk scan yet but did have one at 7 wks and all okay

DD - had a vague travel sickness type feeling on occassion, hardly ever sick, incredibly sore boobs (the hyper-sensitivity & size increase was the give-away symptom before I even missed AF), no food cravings as such and tired. All this pretty much went at 14wks, when I could drink tea again too!!

DC#2 - I felt weak & dizzy repeatedly before AF went AWOL, started feeling sick at about 6-7wks, which got steadily worse, although only vomited once or twice a day. Piled on pounds because the only thing that helped was eating, had food cravings, went off coffee & tea. Also had tiredness but although breasts sore-ish & growing, but nothing like with DD. Now 16wks and the last couple of wks have been a vast improvement...

Would kinda like a boy so sort of hope there's a clue there, but equally, by the time baby is born, I'll be happy either way, and you can't exactly send them back!! Wink
