Brown discharge (tmi possibly)

So I went to the loo this morning and when I wiped there was a small amount of brown discharge on the tissue. Bit like you get at the end of a period. Been a few more times and the actual discharge isn't there but there is a faint brown colour. Called midwife who said its normal but to put a pad on and keep an eye on it. I've not put on a pad as there is nothing in the knickers (sorry!) Baby has been moving since (24 weeks) so I'm not panicking but I am feeling a little disconcerted. Anyone know what it might be? I've not had sex for about a week (midwife asked that too) so it can't be that. I'm a bit of a worrier.

I had that,it was, the midwife explained just residue from all sorts of nooks and crannies being released by stretching and movement in the womb??

I had something similar (also at 24ish weeks).

Went in, had my cervix checked. Was fine. Was kept in for 24hrs. Went home told to come back if it turns red or pink showing fresh blood.

10 days later I got a pink streak when I wiped. Went back in. Cervix checked again. Still normal. Kept in for obs.

36hr later I had 2 baby girls with very little warning (was twin.pg) at 26+6.

I have heard LOTS of stories on here where all turned out fine so I think I'm more of an exception but do keep an eye on.it.

Hi sparklekitty, I had this when I was about 8 weeks, totally out of the blue hadn't even had sex and it totally freaked me out. It was even tinged with red blood on one occasion and I was hysterical, convinced I was having another m/c. Anyway turned out everything was fine, got checked by mw and it turned out that I had a grazed cervix, mw described it a bit like have a skint knee but on your cervix. It lasted about 10 days on and off and then just stopped. If you're still feeling unsettled I would call mw back, that's what she's there for and it's not good for you to be sitting worrying and stressing x

Thanks guys. Easterchick that makes sense as i have had lots of stretching recently, plus baby was really active past few days, was thinking maybe that has released some old blood etc. Seems to be back to clear for the moment but still worried. Baby still active but nowhere near like yesterday (she only stopped moving for a few hours yesterday) so we're back to normal activity levels but after feeling her moving constantly yesterday this is making me stress too. I'll def call midwife if anything else changes.

Littlelunatic - That sounds very stressful. I'm def only having one (unless they've missed a twin on 2 scans and 2 MW appointments listening to heartbeat!) So hopefully this isn't anything major, I'd rather she stayed in as long as possible (sure I won't be saying that at week 40!)
