I haven't missed periods, but regardless I felt more and more pregnant. I became tired, sore breasts (gone this week) and constipation started up last week. I put on 5lb (I've been starving!) but I was only 8st 10lb at 5ft 9 so not a worry. My belly is no longer flat and lean, but I've been constipated and gained a little. I feel a little like there's a small lead balloon in there low down. My waist is thick and I'm filling my bra out. I was ignoring symptoms for various reasons and quite sucessively blocked them out largely. I decided to man up yesterday and test. After a sob dh and I have decided to embrace the idea and there's no worries about the baby being loved!

I just can't think when I have these symptoms last time.

The tests where definate positives, a strong line appeared whilst I was stilll weeing and before the control line. Last time I had periods, getting progressively lighter as the pregnancy wenton until about 6 months.

Blush as we weren't trying I don't have a foggiest clue about last period dates at all. I'll feel like a lemon saying this to the doc...

I would say, at least 8 weeks, possibly more like 12. Is this your second?

Congratulations! Smile

It's no.2 yes, not great timing, but everything else will have to wait and there's no point worrying we've decided.

That was me a few weeks ago, I thought I might be 8 weeks but the scan shows 12. It's lovely getting so much of it out the way without being aware of it. Make sure you are taking your folic acid though.

Get referred for a scan urgently if you want nuchal fold testing (if your hospital does it) because the window to do it is only a couple of weeks.

Congratulations!

Congratulations Smile

I think there is a pg test that tells you how many weeks you are, it tests the level of hormones in your wee.

scarlettsmummy2 · 04/06/2012 08:06

I would say anything up to 15 weeks! Hopefully won't be long until your scan.

HappyCamel · 04/06/2012 15:16

There is a pg test, clearblue digi, but it only goes up to 5+ so not much help of you know you could be over that. I got booked in for an "urgent" scan but it still took two weeks to be seen.

I would say still 1st trimester. You stop producing hcg about 12 weeks and levels reduce to being untestable after that.
