This is my first so I have nothing to compare it too but I have been surprised by how active my little girl is. Been feeling her since about 15 weeks (24 tmrw) and recently I feel her moving most of the time, even if it's just small squirms. She usually has a few quiet days then a few with lots of movement (been a pattern thats gone on ever since I've felt her) Her kicks aren't painful, yet, but they are getting stronger by the day and take me by surprise sometimes :)

I found it painful towards the end with my DS kicking me. I felt very bruised because he was stuck in the same position always kicking the same spot. I think some babies are just more active than others. I will have to see what this one is like to compare Grin

My middle one was such a mover I managed to convince myself that he had an embrionic form on adhd!

BoysBoysBoysAndMe · 02/06/2012 20:04

Ds2 was a real wriggler. My stomach was all sorts of shapes, quite gross to look at really.

And made me feel really sick. He was on an angle throughout whole pregnancy, so he fat ass was bulging everywhere!! Grin

And back to back towards the end so had knees to contend with.

Not long left for you though.
Good luck

My dd was a constant wriggler, and it continued when she was born - she wriggled out of her swaddling at about 15 mins old, before we even left recover after my c-sec and I ended up moving her to her cot at about 5 weeks old as she moved so much.in her moses basket she kept whacking her arms and legs off the moses basket and waking herself up. She is my only one, so have nothing to compare it to.

Yep, got a lil wriggler/kicker here too. Same as sparkle, generally v active but occasional quiet day. Due to the way she lies, my tummy jumps and you can really see it. Keep thinking people are noticing in mtgs at work, although sure they're not as interested as I am! Luckily she seems to stop when I'm actually asleep.

Definitely this second baby is a LOT more active than my DS! I keep saying to DH that I hope this behaviour does not correspond to the way she is when she's born...or I'll have an hysterical girl running around the house!!!!!!!! It actually hurts when she starts!!

babygsmummy · 02/06/2012 23:14

this is my first and l think its a boxer,lm 37 weeks and boy l cant wait to meet lo as it bloody hurts at times,l cant have anything on my stomache but does tend to calm when my dh touches my stomache.l used to ba able to predict what time-ish the movements would be but now its every hour-ish.

Ha!! My DD was SO active in the last few weeks. Everyone kept telling me that she'd move less but nope, she was practically breakdancing in there! I'd recline back and watch her wriggle, twist and turn. My whole tummy would be like a giant wave, up and out one side (sticking her bum up in the air) and then it'd roll across to the other side as she did a headspin! As surreal as it was (and sometimes quite painful) I loved it!

ButtonBoo · 03/06/2012 08:57

Should've said my DD also moved a lot when I ate anything cold. Ice-cream would send her crazy!!

TheWalkingDead · 03/06/2012 09:07

DS1 was in constant motion - for the last 10 weeks of my pregnancy I was an insomniac (averaged about 2 hours sleep a night) and DS1 just kept moving all night. I'm short and he was long so he was crammed right in and it became so painful. And I know what you mean about "a giant wave" ButtonBoo - DS1 threw some truly amazing shapes! DS1 would move a lot when we went to the cinema (ah, those carefree days when we could actually go!) - I'd spent the whole film flinching as he swirled around.

He came out and was in moved all the time, something was always moving like a hand or foot, and he had a really strong moro reflex too that was triggered a lot more easily than DS2. DS1 is 3.6 now and always moving something, whereas DS2 was a lot more sedate during pregnancy and atm (he's 1.3).
