Please don't wait till your next MW appointment, please don't think you are being silly, please don't think you'll be laughed at or told off - go and get checked out ASAP!

And if you see someone posting with such a query please tell them to get checked out and not wait.

Please read the above thread too, it's tough in places but every pregnant woman needs to read that thread and be aware of what can happen.

Well done for posting this, I am aware of the campaign, but know there are plenty out there who don't. Am 21 weeks with my first & am already trying to "monitor" movement so I know what's normal & what isn't.

A quick bump :-)

Thanks for the bumps :) at least I know people are reading it! Nobody likes to think of the dark side of things when they are pregnant, I know that, and lots of women assume once you are past that magic 12 week scan nothing can possibly happen then but it is so so so important to be aware of the risks.

Thanks for posting this. I am 31 weeks with pelvic girdle pain and have had a stressful time with my in-laws over the last 2 weeks. Since then I have been getting intense Braxton Hicks. Anyway, last Friday the baby hardly moved and they had been moving around most of the day up to that point. I phoned the on-call midwife team at the hospital and their advice was to drink a cold glass of water and lie on my left side for two hours and see if my baby moved. This did the trick, but nice to see this important issue of baby movement being highlighted by others. A good friend of mine suffered her beautiful boy being stillborn and she told me how important this issue is.
