Got my 12 week scan on Wednesday but secretly wish it was today so then over the long weekend when i am going to be with friends and family I could tell them all. How I going to come up with excuses not to drink all weekend i don't know. I've already used the urine infection, antibiotics for chest infection!!
Anyone else in the same boat?
Ps at 12 weeks does anyone have a little bump. I think I have noticed it starting to sprout- looks bigger in the evening though as I get a little bloated :-s x

I was in my first trimester at Christmas so had lots of social events involving drinking to attend, I just didn't tell anyone I wasn't drinking; I accepted a drink and then pretended to sip it, sneaking it to DH or putting it down somewhere when no-one was looking, nobody noticed, I found that people don't generally pay much attention to what others are drinking. Well, unless they already suspect you might be pregnant, then they might be looking out for it!

That's a good idea only I would feel a little bad if they buy me drinks and I just waste them but hey I guess we have to do what we have to do. A lot of the events are outside so I can always water the plants Wink

Snap! My scan is Wednesday, too. Wish I could just get it done. And yes, I do have a little bump, DC2.

Hi Olivetti
I called a few weeks ago to see if I wa able to change it but they were unable to due to the bank holidays!!
It seems like its taken ages to get to this stage and now we have another long weekend to wait.
I've had no ms or symptoms to speak of except tiredness early on and sore boobs so have been worried sick as just need to know its all going as it should. Every one has said I'm Fine unless I e has spotting , bleeding or cramping ( which thankfully I've had neither) so hopefully the little bub will be ok! Grin

Is it your first? Not everyone has morning sickness, I think I'm the only one of my friends who had it first time around. Sore boobs and tiredness are classic signs, but I remember my symptoms ebbed and flowed with my DD (18 months). The holiday weekend will fly by, we need to try and enjoy it! Grin

Yes it's my first so all new to me! Hopefully I've been one of the lucky ones!
Weekends tend to go quickly so I'm not wishing it away as I know it will come around quick enough. Think I've noticed a few people looking at my belly already. I'm a size 8 so it's quite noticeable!ill have to get the baggy vests out to avoid the possible questionsWink
Enjoy the weekend too :)

Hi - yes, all fine. Still waiting for blood test results on screening tests, though - they'll phone in 5 days if there is a problem. Congratulations! I am 12w 1 day, due 19th Dec. Hope it's early! x

mytime777 · 06/06/2012 20:10

Yeah I'm waiting on screening blood results too - mine will be 10 days but the lady who did the scan said the amount of fluid that they could see looks normal and with my age/ weigh / medical history etc all should hopefully be fine.
Glad urs went well. It's amazing aye?
We've just started Telling family Grin
