Cramps, discomfort and can't stray too far from the loo at 36wks - is this it?

Hi all, am 36wks pregnant with DC2 - had EMCS at 37wks with DC1 due to pre-eclampsia so never experienced labour and therefore need your advice! Have been feeling off for a few days now, it's not PE as am being closely monitored by MW team and BP, urine etc all fine. Basically I'm very thirsty, very uncomfortable, hardly sleeping and have had period style stomach cramps since last night, low back pain, a pulling sensation in pelvis and diarrohea (sorry for TMI). Should i be worried that these are symptoms of early labour or more likely a bug or something I ate (can't think what though). Thanks MNetters!

That does sound like early labour. I convinced myself early contractions were wind despite being 40+5. Good luck!

It does sound like early labour but I found that this lasted for weeks with the last one. I had an upset tummy and felt like I had flu from about 37 weeks. He wasn't born until 40+1. Good luck!

I'm the same just now (39+3) and nothing seems to be happening. just irritating cramps and BH stopping me sleeping, and gut in no fit state to leave the house just in case.

grrr.
