Baby measuring 2 weeks ahead, could the due date be wrong?

I am, according to my due date given to me at the hospital (29th June- was told to pick one out of a few dates as kept getting different measurements!), 36 weeks pregnant tommorow. However the original due date that I worked out from my last period (11th September) was the 18th June, and now at my last scan a few weeks ago I got told that baby is 2 weeks ahead in size. Could this mean I'm actually almost 38 weeks instead of 36? Would be nice to think the end to all this heartburn and achiness might be in sight sooner than I thought!

Just to add to that- baby was estimated at weighing 2.2 kilos at the scan which was at (supposedly) 32 weeks and 4 days, which would make it almost 5 lbs?

Please someone reply, even if you have any opinion at all! Am so fed up of being pregnant so if anyone has had a similar experience would be great to hear it Grin

The baby will definitely come when whEn it comes.
You can spend the next four weeks trying to guess when it will be, but there's a pretty big chance you'll be wrong.

Que sera sera and all that.

Cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit, and ignore all due dates. All of them.

You are definitely going to have a baby. At some point.

Scans are ridiculous guesswork, and designed to put Parent's in a flat spin. They generally mean feck all.

I ended up with an elcs on the back of a scan which suggested my baby would be 10 lb 13oz. She was 8 lb 6oz.

Really, don't stress. The baby will come when the baby comes. Whether you spend from now until then stressing about when that might be, or not....

Cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit sounds lovely Smile .In a way it feels so different to when I had my ds1 now that they do all this estimated weight malarkey at scans, I never had anything like that with him and never gave it any thought! Besides, I still have heaps to do before the little one makes an appearance so I suppose I should be concentrating on that Grin

Yep. There is bugger all you can do that will change when this one makes an entrance. Grin and trying to guess when it will be might be a way to spend an idle hour, but isn't worth fretting about.

Have two chocolate biscuits. You know you want to... Smile

Good luck x
