can anyone recommend any fairly cheap maternity shorts?

I'm off on holiday in a couple of weeks and need 1-2 pairs of maternity shorts but don't want to spend a fortune.

Any suggestions?

Ooooo I saw some nice ones on the asda/George website the other day. I think they were on sale too!

Primark have got some real lightweight flowy shorts in at the moment, as do Matalan. They're not maternity but I bought a couple of sizes up and they fit so comfortable because they've got stretchy waistbands and fit under the bump nicely. AND they're cheaper than maternity clothing too. I had a right nightmare this weekend trying to find shorts and the ones I got are so nice.

Try new look, I've got a denim pain from last season that are really comfy

I have quite a few pairs of maternity jeans (my DSis just handed over her old maternity clothes) so I ended up just cutting a pair up at the weekend and turning them up. Super comfy maternity denim shorts that don't look any different to ones you can buy. Just a suggestion in case you have a few too many pairs of jeans like me

I have got quite a few jeans, but they're mostly sister in laws - would have to ask them if I could cut them off...

I have only eight weeks left so didn't't want to spend a lot. I went in asda and got a pair of shorts 3 sizes bigger than I usually take. They look perfectly fine.

H&M were the only place I found a reasonable pair when pregnant a few years ago..

I got some from h&m that looked great when we went to the Caribbean back in jan. however now I am nearly 37 weeks pregnant my shorts just look a bit silly on so sticking to my three quarter length linen trousers!

I got some Dorothy Perkins chino shorts which I really like - just wish they did them in more sensible colours. (Navy is fine; pink or turquoise - no thanks!)

Im been getting most of my maternity wear from H&M and New Look - both relatively cheap but do do nice clothes.
Mothercare have some shorts too but I think they are a bit pricier.
