It's been 3 years and I cant for the life of me remember what happens at this stage.
Might she listen for the heartbeat? Palpate the flab tummy?
Any clues?

Yes she will feel your tummy, do BP and urine, and she might listen for the heartbeat, mine offered to, but it did take a while to find, which she warned me about, but it was worrying!

I had mine this morning and it was rubbish uneventful! No doppler (boo hiss!), no tummy-feeling. Just peed in a pot, was asked how I am, and left.

Mine was great. I got to listen to the heartbeats and it was amazing. Smile

I heard the heartbeat on mine, but the majority of the appointment was spent with me being talked at by a breast feeding nazi who told me (in the nicest possible way) that I'd be a bad mother if I didn't breastfeed my baby. Cow, oh the irony.

Mine was very similar to shushbaby - MW didn't try for HB as I had a MC at 14weeks last time and she didn't want to scare me if she couldn't find it... so I booked an appointment with my GP who found it straight away!

At mine we talked about my blood test results, she took my blood pressure and urine sample, listened for baby's heartbeat, booked 'parentcraft' class for 34 weeks. 15 mins for total appointment (though she was running behind by 45 mins, so much for me popping in and out in my lunch break!)

Had mine this morning. Listen to heartbeat which was fantastic. BP and pee pot. All good :)

Thanks everyone. Will hope for a HB check!
