Swollen hand

Hi all
I'm 39+6 and I've woken up with a really swollen hand and fingers on one hand in particular. Not had this before. I went to the midwife yesterday and my bp and urine were fine. I assume it's just the heat and late pregnancy but wondered if anyone has experienced the same?

You are probably right but get it checked anyway poor you in this heat!

Hi, I'm 34 weeks and my both my hands (and feet) have been swollen since the start of the hot weather last week. I'm healthy, hydrated and having a normal pregnancy... have been reassured by my MW that I'm OK.

Are both swollen with one worse than other?

Just the one hand. It was ok after a few hours this morning. I think it must have been the heat x

Hello - I'm only 24 weeks but had swollen hands last Wednesday when it was really hot. I was a bit bothered so spoke to my cousin (who is a midwife and my saviour!) and she said just heat and not to worry. It went away after a few hours.

I guess if it keeps coming back or stays swollen for a while you could speak to your midwife, but sounds like it has settled down now.
