This might be a bit long, but here goes. I gave birth to DS 5 months ago, had to stop breastfeeding him after 6 weeks and had a Copper IUD put in 2 months ago.
My period is due either today or tomorrow (can't remember if I started my period on the 1st or 2nd of May) and the last 2 days I've felt nauseous, my boobs have felt tight and sore, I'm tired (could be the result of getting up with baby of course) my belly us swollen, I have waves of dizziness and I'm hungry all the time and craving salty stuff. All of this is how I felt when I found out I was pregnant with DS.
Took a pregnancy test yesterday and today and both negative, but still no period.
Checked the strings on my IUD and it's still in place.
Also a week ago Sunday I had cramping, a bit of bleeding and some nausea (I remember feeling nauseous for a day two weeks before I found out I was pregnant with DS. Always thought it probably had something to do with implantation).
Now obviously no one here is psychic, so you can't tell me if I'm preggers, but have you ever heard of someone getting pregnant with an IUD? Are these normal side effects of an IUD? Can an IUD effect a pregnancy test?
