Could I have piles? - sorry a bit too much information!

Everytime I go to the loo (No.2), the whole toilet looks like a murder scene. Occasionally in the past, I do get like a little cut and a bit of blood on the toilet paper. so nust be prone to tears now and again.

Just been for a wee now and must have strained too much and more blood.
Know it's coming from the back passage (the red blood).

I'm now wondering if it's piles? What should I look out for? I'm almost 23 weeks pregnant.

it's likely to be piles. have you looked/felt to see if there's a lump/bubble-like mass?

can i suggest a fibre supplement? i developed a pile at 16ish weeks and started on an ispaghula husk powder supplement (OB said it was no problem in pg), and it resolved itself perfectly, no issues now, am nearly 24 weeks.

whatever you do you should be avoiding straining. the more you strain, the more you weaken your pelvic muscles over time, meaning a more difficult time in late pregnancy and during birth.

let the mw/Dr. know too obviously. it's unlikely to be anything but piles or a small tear, really common in pg.

by straining i mean both peeing and #2. if you're finding it hard to pee easily, try leaning forward as far as you can while you go, and just relaxing -- don't push it out, that's really not good for you.

Thanks - It doesn't normally happen when I pee, but I hadn't long been for a No.2 so it must not have healed in the meantime.

Thanks I'll make an appointment Mon to see my MW and see which supplement she recommends. I've got other issues too which I'd like to discuss so it'll be handy to sort them all out at once.
