Hi all, worried sick, my daughter, age nearly 11, do not a lil thing, she was having a carry on with me this morning and went to kick the sofa, but kicked me hard in the side by mistake. Still sore, I have a ds aged 5 too but have a history of 3 early mc's. I called triage who sed they'd have me in but were so busy and all they'd do is listen to the heart, but to keep an eye on movement, but don't really get a lot of movement yet, and mostly at night when I do get movement Hmm I have listened in with Doppler and got heart near, but worried I'll start bleeding etc :( soo scared. Any advice? TIA

Try not to panic I know thats a stupid thing to say but try your best to remain calm.

I'm sure your daughter feels awful.

Notmyselfatall · 26/05/2012 17:25

I know :( I am worried though. God, I hope everything is ok

I would have thought that unless her blow firmly thumped the placenta that there's no way she could have done any harm (and probably not even then).

I've fallen off a bicycle when like 32 or 39 weeks pregnant. No discernible harm done!

I think you'd be feeling truly awful if there were any damage.

Notmyselfatall · 26/05/2012 18:53

Hey adventures. Yeh, when I called triage again they asked if I was feeling ok etc, sed the fact that I felt good within myself then should be ok. It was a proper hard kick or I wouldn't be panicking so much but you've made me feel easier saying that you fell off your bike etc :( it's so scary being preg, even with my third lol. Gonna concentrate on the fact I'm finding out what the baby is tomorrow Smile have a scan booked at baby bond Grin

It's because of your history, hard not to be nervy, I'm sure.
Hope it's all a distant memory soon. :)

Notmyselfatall · 26/05/2012 20:42

My daughter did the same to me in the swimming pool by accident when I was pregnant with ds. She was so upset about, but all was fine. I think they are quite protected in there. Good luck at your scan.

AKMD · 26/05/2012 22:31

I got headbutted on the bump on Tuesday Hmm 20 week scan today and everything was fine. Just keep an eye on things an give your MW a call if you're in pain, bleeding or otherwise concerned.

I got pulled off my feet by a large dog when pregnant with ds3. Went flying through gorse and landed on my front completely winded, scratched and bruised. Was pretty paranoid as previous pregnancy dd was born 3 months early. Turned out the most damage was the scratched and had a fine pregnancy and reached term. I'm sure you'll be fine as all the signs are looking good

mrswee · 27/05/2012 21:15

I hope you are felling better!

Just to say, I spectacularly fell over in the bath at around 22 weeks when pregnant with my DD. I fell on my side and landed on my bum, pulled the shower curtain down with me and even managed to dislodge the bath away from the wall I feel so hard.
I was very panicked and called my doctor, he was very sure everything would be fine and told me all about how they are so well protected in there. He said to get back in touch if I needed to but didn't think I needed to be seen right there and then unless I was desperate for reasurance.
Everything was fine and I have a possibly little crazy but very healthy toddler now!
DH didnt allow me to have a bath or a shower after that unless he was in the house which was rather inconvienent! Hmm
he got a bigger fright than I did!

mrswee · 27/05/2012 21:16

Feeling, not felling obvoiusly Hmm

Aww, thanks for all yr replies :) I'm feeling ok thanks mrswee :) found out today that I'm having a girl Grin over the moon. That sounds like a nasty fall you had, it's just such a worrying time isn't it?

I was worrying but I felt really stupid and clumsey as well and really shocked and embarressed! I had just reached to turn to heat in the shower down a little and over balanced, not used to my new bump!

Congrats on the girl!

Notmyselfatall · 27/05/2012 21:34

Awww ty Grin aww what a shame. It's scary though, just so worrying not knowing if you've hurt the baby or not
