40 weeks pregnant today...does anyone actually give birth on their due date?

I'm 40 weeks pregnant today with baby #2 and so fed up and tired in this heat. My ds was born after an induction at 41 + 5 and I'm praying I don't need to have another induction this time. Someone help me please. :( so fed up waiting and so ready to meet my baby!

DS2 though didn't arrive on due date, and I was NOT HAPPY. I think my expectations were a bit high! MW did give me a sweep and DS2 arrived 4 days late. Not sure how effective sweeps are, but I am glad I didn't have to wait any longer. Heat wasn't the problem - Christmas was!

Two of my friends had babies on their due dates. I'm clinging to that thought, due on Sunday! And one of those people who gave birth on her due date was in labour for a whole 25 minutes!!

Well mine was yesterday, so not me!

Both mine arrived tge day before their due date.

Two on their due date, one early and one six days over!

Mines due today as well, but don't think it'll happen! I'm with you though, I'm over being pregnant in this heat! Feeling very bar humbug sat in the coolest room when Id prefere to be in the garden normally!

me too, 40 weeks today - not a twinge yet! My daughter was a few days over, so kind of expecting this one to be as well :(

My waters broke on my due date but dd was in no rush and didn't actually put in an appearance till 40+2

I did. Not sure if it did the trick but I tried an evening primrose oil capsule up the fanjo the night before. She came the next day!

I am 40 weeks pregnant with my first. Im going to be giving birth by myself the husband left me. The past couple of days the baby has been kicking alot. I think I look like a house I am soo big. even the doctor said not much pregnant women have this size of belly.I just want this baby to get out so I am not fat anymore. At night it is like I eat a meal for four I sit there watching tv lying back with a plate on my belly eating lots. But I forgot to tell you the last couple of days have been scary. I have had mild contractions. Siting here is hard to type because my belly is touching the key board a lot lol. When I go into labour I am going to try to drive to the hospital it is hard driving with a big belly hitting the steering wheel. But I just want this baby out of me.

A friend of a friend on facebook had hers yesterday on her due date.

First a month early, second one day before due date and one 6 days over.

I gave birth on my due date.

My sister probably would have if it wasn't for needing an emcs the day before the due date.

It was DC2 I was in labour for 3 hours and she just fell out (kind of). The only thing against mine was that it was christmas day so we spent 8 months (once we knew I was PG and knew the EDD) saying it will be fine she wont be born on the 25th nobody's born on their due date. Well she was. This was 4.5 years ago.

Aaaaaaah Christmas baby ! At least u got out of cooking Xmas dinner ! Both mine were late think this one will b too

My first dc was born bang on her due date. Yet to see what happens with dc2, due 23rd Aug

DS2 arrived bang on his due date...only time he has ever been punctual in his life. 10yo now and does not understand the concept of a curfew whatsoever!!
