Am 23 weeks pg with DC3.
DS1 and DS2 have had chicken pox and I had as a child too.
Is it safe to mix with a child with mainly scabbed up spots (some not) do you think? Child's brother may have it too but no spots yet.

Thinking that realistically the risk of any of us getting it again is very low but MIL is saying I shouldn't risk it. WWYD?

My little girl had the pox when I was 8 weeks pregnant, obviously I couldn't avoid her! I was told that as I had had chicken pox as a child I was safe :)

Thanks Spinity I always thought you could only get it once but apparently that's not the case Confused

I think you'd be pretty safe if you've had it before. I've had to avoid my sister as both her boys have had it over the last 3-4 weeks because my mum is not 100% sure I've had it although 99% sure so I didn't want to risk if. Plus off on holiday in 2 weeks so didn't want either of my girls having it then.

I think they say you are supposed to worry if less than 20 weeks and caught it so considering you're over 20 weeks as well I would think you're pretty safe.
