What ingredients in cosmetics should you avoid in pregnancy?

My friend is 12 weeks pg and was asking me last night what lotions etc. she should be avoiding. I know there was one particular ingredient or oil of some sort that I was advised to avoid when I was pg but I can't remember for the life of me.

Can anyone help?

The ony thing I can think of is Retinol because it has Vitamin A in it but I don't think such small amounts would be absorbed very much

Oh my goodness - that list just about excludes every brand of cosmetics on the market.
