I've seen some dead cute things in Matalan, Debenhams & Asda George.

John Lewis has primary coloured vests which are pretty nice. And I was actually pleasantly surprised by Mothercare when I went in recently - some really cute brightly coloured romper suit things with a boat on the front that look far more expensive. Technically for a boy, but whatever...

wow, loads of suggestions, I hadnt thought of dying babygros, that may be an idea as have loads of second hand white ones,. I like the next stuff, dont think i saw any of it in my local one though, so i may need to have a big shopping trip soon! I dont really want to pay much, its such a waste. I have a nice pattern and wool for a colourful cardi, i might bribe my mum into knitting it!

I was amazed to see some lovely, non pink/blue baby clothes in Next at the weekend. They would have been perfect for either boys or girls. Next is usually so dire and so clothes are horrible divided by gender, that I was really pleasantly surprised.

I quite like H&M. My local M&S has one wall of pink and one wall of blue, plus a tiny rack of plain white. Absolute crap. My (lovely) MIL bought some plain white vests and is going to embroider some nice things on them.

I got Hungry Caterpillar stuff from Asda.

Everything else came from an NCT sale. I like shopping somewhere that isn't seperated into 'boys' and 'girls', so I can make my own mind up.

I can't stand the stereotypes of only having blues pinks and creams. I'm having a girl but hate pink. I did get a pack of sleep suits, vests in toys r us that are yellow/ green. Marks and spencer also had pack of vests that were solid colours. It is difficult espec as they grow out of them so quick so not really worth paying a lot

Flisspaps · 23/05/2012 11:33

Tesco do a pack of vests in red, yellow, green, blue and grey. They're in the boy section though Hmm

misslinnet · 23/05/2012 13:42

I got some nice bright unisex bodysuits and sleepsuits from Next.

thefurryone · 23/05/2012 16:13

Bright coloured vests and baby grows are in most shops but you won't find them in the unisex bit but in either the girl or boy section, the retailer created colour divide between boys and girls goes much deeper than just blue & pink!

Rainbow babies is another excellent online option. Their stuff is also great for toddlers.

EggsMichelle · 23/05/2012 19:20

Matalan has some lovely grows in, very fun and colourful!

berrybump · 14/01/2014 11:49

There is 20% off Maxomorra baby clothes at www.uniandjack.co.uk at the moment - they have some great and genuinely unisex designs that are bright and funky - Scandinavian design again, along the lines of Smafolk and Polarn Y Pyret

K8eee · 14/01/2014 12:10

Asda, matalsn & tesco. Am trying to find some too!

ch1134 · 14/01/2014 13:31

I just bought some lovely ones from John Lewis - and you can click and collect from Waitrose

I got loads from next but that was 6m ago. Lots of red, green, yellow, orange etc

BikeRunSki · 14/01/2014 13:39

Tiny Vikings

Also Next, H&M, John Lewis, Boden, Gap, Sainsbury's.

You just need to sift through the pink, frills and appliquéd cars. All these shops also cater for people with different taste to yours, you just need to look through for stuff you like.

Cariad007 · 14/01/2014 13:42

I second Polarn O Pyret, and they've got a really good sale on at the moment. I just wish that the bright unisex stuff was a bit cheaper - if you're on a budget then it tends to be just blue for boys and pink for girls available.

ch1134 · 14/01/2014 13:51

wish I hadn't looked at this now. Loving the H&M stuff, so cute and cheap (3 for 2), put some in my pretend shopping bag but can't justify buying more... maybe when it grows and I need bigger sizes!
