I know this has been asked a lot.

Today I keep getting the LIGHTEST of fluttering (could be imagining it it's so light) which seems to be right in the centre just above pubic line. Could this be the baby????

If it is can I expect to feel more definite movement next week?

I hope it is!! Although I always thought it would be more to the side where the legs would be...

I'm 16+2 by the way

It is very possible that you are feeling baby. :) Most first time mums feel around 18-20 weeks they say. But Theres no reason why the movements wouldnt be there earlier...You just wouldn't nessicarily know that its baby you are feeling. It can be easily confused for wind at this early stage.

With my first I felt him at around 20 weeks as little flutters. My second was at 17 weeks as a proper prod and this one (am currently 19+3) felt as soon as 14 weeks!!!

Enjoy it, the kicks are such a special moment :) xx

RamblingRosa · 22/05/2012 13:05

It was around 20 weeks for me too.

Harryan · 22/05/2012 13:05

Forgot to add that even though ive been feeling flutters since 14 weeks, I have only just this week felt a proper kick.
even my hubby can't feel yet.xx

BonkeyMollocks · 22/05/2012 13:06

I felt the fluttering at 16wks :) I didn't realise thats what it was though until later on. I thought it was wind Grin

Hiccups are the best. My ds had them all the time.
Oh, and when you can look at your bump and you can see baby moving, weird but amazing!

Harryan · 22/05/2012 13:08

BonkeyMollocks, Loved the moving bit....when you belly looks like a scene out of Alien lol :)

speculationisrife · 22/05/2012 13:11

Very light little bubbly flutterings (like wind but in slightly the wrong place) at 15 weeks or so. Definitely got stronger really quickly so was feeling proper movements by 16-17 weeks. Lovely, isn't it? Grin

18 weeks. Having a facial so was lying still and quiet when I felt a 'blip' sort of bubble popping feeling. Baby's first fart perhaps?

UnnamedFemaleProtagonist · 22/05/2012 15:00

17 weeks with number one. Lying on my back in the quiet. 11 weeks with the next two.

Whysoserious · 22/05/2012 15:28

Oh I hope what i felt was the baby. It was so faint though.

I can't wait to experience all of what you are describing Smile

22 wks

oikopolis · 22/05/2012 16:54

i had the exact same feeling in the same spot at 16 weeks and now, at coming up to 23 weeks, those same feelings have developed into clearly recognisable movements.

i would say that you are definitely feeling your baby!

Chunkychicken · 22/05/2012 17:47

With my DD, I thought I felt something at 14wks and definitely at 15wks. It wasn't until much later that it was identifiable 'kicks' or felt externally though.

With #2 I thought I was feeling a very light fluttering at 8wks, then definitely little thuds at about 10wks. Now 14wks & it was definitely baby - the feelings are exactly where baby was found in the scan & s/he was so vigorous yesterday that it really tickled!! Its only when I'm sat down though, so obviously s/he is kicking up into my tummy. :)

Boggler · 22/05/2012 17:58

As I have an anterior placenta have only just started to feel anything (24 wks) I have to say it's lovely to feel and makes everything finally feel real! Smile

zoobaby · 24/05/2012 19:08

It was at about 17 weeks here. I kept telling myself it was my imagination, or my dinner or wishful thinking, so I kept a diary recording when I could feel these little fluttering sensations or very light taps. In week 19, in a bit of a tizz and crying my eyes out, I definitely and obviously felt the same sensation - baby was reacting strongly to the tears. Been getting the same feeling since, only stronger. Since I get them in stereo, I can feel them externally. Can't wait til DP can feel them too, as baby goes very shy when his hands go on the belly.

Flisspaps · 24/05/2012 19:10

About 16/17w. Felt like popcorn popping.

Conflugenglugen · 24/05/2012 19:11

15 weeks - veeeery light fluttering. Lovely!

Kelbells · 24/05/2012 19:20

16 and a half weeks... I was on honeymoon in Spain, so I think lots of laying still on a sun lounger helped me to focus in on the movement!

Now 19 weeks and it kicks a lot! Hoping DH will be able to feel it soon!

MidLine · 25/05/2012 12:24

Did/does anyone feel them like little muscle spasms? I keep getting these but still not sure if it's baby or gas! It feels stronger than a bubble popping or a flutter.

sammyleh · 25/05/2012 12:58

Im 19 wks and really cant be sure. only felt a little something but once at 17, twice at 18 and not a great deal since. How often did you ladies feel something?? xx

oikopolis · 25/05/2012 16:31

MidLine mine never felt like flutters or bubbles, they felt more like small muscle spasms but on the front of my belly, not inside iyswim.
