Oxford Street Maternity Shopping

So, I'm giving up on online shopping. Nothing is the right size or fit when it arrives so I'm going to hit the shops when I get paid this weekend and wondering which shops stock their maternity ranges. I know that Topshop and Gap at Oxford Circus both do but am looking for more suggestions please.

H&m and new look have some nice bits. I find there are a usually a select couple of nice things in each place, but a fair few things that i wouldn't wear to wade through, so I'd go to them all

Dorothy Perkins and Next east of Oxford Circus have some small ranges of maternity wear, also the H&M south of Oxford Circus (not the big one on the crossroads). Don't bother with M&S as it had all gone online [grrr].

I was really disappointed in the Oxford Street next-they only had half a rack of maternity clothes! The one at Westfield Shepherd Bush was a lot better.

I too was really disappointed with the shops on Oxford Street. Literally half a rail or nothing at all. Unfortunately it seems that online is the best bet...

I found that only Topshop and Gap were any good when I was pregnant (and even then it was hit and miss whether they had much in stock). As for other shops, find a member of staff as soon as you go through the door and ask where the maternity stuff is and whether there is another branch nearby with more stock. It will save you traipsing all the way to a far flung corner only to find there is another branch of the same shop 5 minutes away that holds better stock.

If you can stretch to it, treat yourself to some Isabella Oliver online - its pricey, but you can often find discount codes, and it really holds its value if you eBay it afterwards.

I would never go to New look but I can't remember why I actually went and ended up
Buying loads of maternity things! Quite cheap, quality is so-so though but there's a good range. It is comparable with what you get in top shop in terms
Of quality and price.
I didn't go to the one in Oxford st but I would assume they all stock the same?
Gap, mamas and papas, mothercate, top shop etc... And eBay!!!
Have fun!

I'm with nancerama, Topshop and Gap have been the best for me so far. I think Gap have (or did have very recently) a 30% off everything voucher in Grazia. They have offers so often try not to pay full price for their maternity wear! I was in the Oxford Street store a few months ago and bought up some vests, jeans, work trousers and a dress at less than half the usual price (when I had no bump and got funny looks from the woman on the till!). I couldn't resist and they have all been great (now that I have a proper bump!). I want to keep wearing the jeans forever as they're so comfortable!

I was disappointed with DP and Next, but H&M wasn't bad. In their Regent St store they have a little maternity area on the lower ground floor which is quiet and much calmer than the rest of the store.

I went to Oxford Street a few weeks ago thinking I'd have a chance to try stuff on and was bitterly disappointed. One rubbish rack in most 'flagship' stores. Nothing in big department stores like John Lewis.

Top Shop had a fair amount of stock out and so did GAP but that was it.

I came home, shopped online, pretty much maxed out my credit card doing so. I bought pants in the same style in different sizes and lengths, same tops in different sizes and colours, etc. So spent heaps, but sent back 95% of stuff. Worked quite well as you can try stuff at home with different stuff you already own. Sending everything back and making sure it got refunded wasn't fun though!

Not looking forward to bra shopping as that will need to be ini store!
