I was lucky enough to get some tickets to a preview screening of this movie for tonight and was really impressed. It was funny but also covered some hard hitting truths on how pregnancy isn't always plain sailing. I won't spoil it for those who intend to go see it but it is worth a trip to see IMO. DH liked it too. It is easy watching. I was the centre of attention hobbling up to the back row with my massive belly. Think folks thought I was part of the promtional material:o

I really want to go and see it! For some reason though I feel a bit embarrassed though that I am obviously heavily pregnant and surely so will half the audience be :) I was even thinking of ways I might hide my bump, although at 31 weeks am not sure I can.

I don't think it is officially out for another few days yet.

GiantPuffball · 21/05/2012 23:23

Really? Cause the book is a hundred shades of shit.

GP, i think they have only used the name... as they have previously done with several books...

SilentMammoth · 21/05/2012 23:39

What GPB said. If I wanted to be spoken to a like a dense 2 year old I'd read a Ladybird book. Can't think of anything worse than the film.

PorkyandBess · 21/05/2012 23:48

Every review I have read of this film has, not that surprisingly, said it's crap.

bettybat · 22/05/2012 06:31

I was wondering the other day how they'd show the births...are all the women screaming and the dads running round like headless chickens, Hollywood style, or have they kept it within some realm of realism? Grin

GimmieChocolate · 22/05/2012 07:50

My friend and I are planning to do an orange Wednesday to go see it next week! I'll be 3 days off my due date and been given strict instructions not to laugh so much my waters break!!

It's light hearted ladies but I was impressed by the difficulties it addressed too. It shows three very different births. I haven't read the book but at 39 weeks I felt it was a pleasant way to spend an evening rather than heaped in front of the sofa at home.
