miscarraige... i think ??

i have been spotting/ light pink discharge for 10 days on and off... also had 2 bouts of bright red bleeding... not much tho... also last night i woke up to find i had been bleeding in the night... just on my skin.. not enough to saturate bed etc.... this bleeding has continued and i am still bleeding now... its like im coming on my period... also last night there was a clot in the loo.. maybe about the size of a thumb nail.. i am around 6/7 weeks... have a scan on thurs... i think i am being naive thinking the pregnancy is ongoing... its just ive have no pain... can some people reply and be honest about thier thoughts on my situation x

Being totally honest, I think you need to go to your Early Pregnancy Unit now to get it seen to. Good luck.

hiya-- i rang them.. and they have said as i am in no pain to come in thursday as planned :(.. i know its probably gone... but i think its just til i get told for definate... im gonna keep doing all the wot ifs and maybes

Which hospital is it 10fingers? I'm surprised they haven't asked you to go in.

I had light bleeding at the beginning of my pregnancy and they made me go in straight away.

I think it can vary. 1st pregnancy I had light spotting then some old blood (no clots) - no pain at all. Early scan showed the baby had stopped growing a few weeks earlier (week 6/7) and I had to have a D&C. 2nd pregnancy had early scan at 6 weeks - all fine. Then bright red blood at 7ish weeks followed by the same "old" looking blood (a few clots). Scan showed all fine and DS born safely with no further incident.

Currently pregnant (about 4.5 weeks) and been experiencing a lot of cramps and backache. Noticed fresh looking blood when went to loo. Called early pregnancy centre and, like you, am having to wait till 6 weeks to get a scan. I honestly can't call it at the moment.

Really hope you get good news OP. It can happen.

when i rang around 10 days ago they said to go in the following morning... they saw a sac and yolk but no baby so said perhaps my dates were wrong... then booked me in thurs 4 a viability scan.. maybe it sounds to them as if there is no gr8 rush... its gone.. i think maybe i will ring again tomorrow morning and see if i can get seen a day early.

That's fantastic news! I'm experiencing the same as you did, I've been bleeding since Saturday so really pleased to hear that your pregnancy continued. Do they know what caused the bleeding?

10fingers10toes - I'm really pleased to hear that everything is going well. I've had occasional tiny amounts of spotting and brown discharge when I wipe for a while. I still have all the pregnancy symptoms and have kept doing digital pregnancy tests, which are keeping me at 3 weeks +, which I hope are good signs. Went to epu last week and back on Friday to hopefully see a heartbeat... What happened when you went for the second scan?
