Sorry but just need to rant, I am due today with DC2. Baby has been 3/5ths engaged for 4weeks now, head down since 31 weeks. and i'm carrying lower = backache. Not to mention the strong bh's, and more recently poking feeling/shooting pains up what feels like my fanjo & backside! argh!
I thought i'd be early (DD was 40+5) and my body has been signalling for ages now.

Had a sweep on wednesday and she said my cervix is open and only 0.5cm thick. 1cm dilated. but since then the aches and pains aren't amounting to anything.

I know this won't help but at the most you've got 2 weeks to go Wink

I had a sweep on the tues and DS was born on the Friday, so keep everything crossed xx

Hey, had my mw appt yesterday, she did a 2nd sweep (last one was a week ago) and she said baby's head is very low. She then said "little monkey"... Your baby has come down the birth canal half the way but the cervix (is open) but is still posterior. So baby has come down without letting the cervix come first. and still 1cm dilated.

Other than the BH's, back ache and noticed today more discharge, nothing much to report. other than VERY emotional. oh and a chesty cough has said hello to me GRRR

Hi. I remember the agony of waiting!!!. Have you tried Reflexology??. My first child ended up being induced and I did not want to go through that again - so used Reflexology with no 2, and yes no induction necessary.

If you want to be sure you find a properly qualified reflexologist I have used the Association of Reflexologist ? www.aor.org.uk ? they have a ?find a reflexologist? search so you can find someone near you that you can be sure is properly trained.
