High Barnet - NHS ante-natal or NCT

Hi,
Im am due in August and have only started looking for ante-natal classes. Its seems the only relevant NCT group for my due date is in Borehamwood and I'm now worried that I've missed the boat for the NHS ones! It's our first baby and now worried that I have been too laid back about the whole thing! What does eveyone else think about these classes? Is it worth going to the Borehamwood one even though I live in High Barnet? I was hoping to meet other mums in the same situtation who I could meet up with after the baby is born so would be obviously better if I could find a group here. Advice please. xx

Im not sure how much help this is but are you having the birth at Barnet? I'm booked into chase farm but it's all part of the same trust. My classes are being held at the ridgeway birthing centre - ?ou could try calling them as there connected they may have space there?

Also my mw gave me details of an aqua natel class at David Lloyd in Enfield.

I don't know if this is of use, but I have just moved to High Barnet and am about to set up Pregnancy yoga classes, its a great way meet other mums to be, learn breathing techniques and talk about what to expect in birth. I need at least 5 ladies to get going, if you are interested look at my website www.yogasister.co.uk I haven't changed any class details yet, but you can read what my clients have said about coming to classes. One of the most brilliant things I have seen (having taught over 180 pregnant ladies in 3 yrs) is the way they become totally empowered about their births, and a realization sets in that they have everything they need to birth their baby.
