Has anyone done this? I was bought the 4 CD set by a friend and have been doing it. So far I love the pregnancy relaxation one, it has really helped.

I was wondering about buying the Effective Birth Preparation book as well. Is it useful?

I should say this is my second birth, but my first was quiet traumatic so am hoping for a better one this time!

I did Hypnobirthing and found it was great - I found contractions really manageable, had a quick labour (4.5 hours total) and was 9cm when I got to hospital. Sadly DD was very distressed (possibly due to my waters breaking before labour started, they don't really know) so I ended up with a crash section, but I hope for a natural birth next time and will use the Hypnobirthing techniques again for sure.

Hello

I have read the book and accompanying cd. I love it, but 5 weeks from labour so don't know if it will work. But, it had made me relax and feel in control etc

Good luck!

I used the CDs for my 1st and 2nd labour and am using them again this time. I had 2 quick labours.. I found that although still painful the techniques and visualisations helped me focus and deal with the pain effectively and made me feel more in controlSmile
