Seeing as I haven't started a thread for about 8 hours... Wink

Had anyone else had these? They totally don't hurt at all, just feel tense and tight, and contractions with DS were agonising. But they make me lose my breath a bit and go "oof!" and feel like a downwards pushing sensation right into my bottom.

I'm not sure if they are regular or not, as I've only just realised that they've been going on since about 9 or 10 this morning. I'm still not sure if they're the baby mucking about in there (it is right down in my pelvis anyway) or if it's me doing it, iyswim.

Anyone else?

I had this with DC3

But he was big, (very) late and I seem to remember it went on for a few weeks
Good luck! Smile

I'm 38wks too and also had an 'oof' day yesterday, whilst I knew it wasn't painful enough to be contractions it made me wonder what the hell was going on in there. The bum pain was the worst tho....

I'm 41 weeks and I've had this too! Sometimes it also results (sorry if TMI!) in a pathetically little poo!

MousyMouse · 18/05/2012 14:40

I had this with dc2 from about 36w getting progressively stronger and more painful. many a call to the midwifes who said that I would know when it really starts and that these contractions are more for the positioning of baby than for opening the cervix.
when contractikns really started everything was very clear, though.(41w)

Yeah, that's what I remember from DS. It's not painful but very odd-feeling. From my memories of last time, then, I reckon I have about a week to ten days left of this and need to sleep, have baths a lot and crochet.

And buy a house and write an essay. Grin

I knew something was up when I started batch cooking and sorting through old paperwork today. And when I nearly, excuse the TMI, pooed myself in Tesco this morning. Blush. I do have that aeroplane-taxiing-before-takeoff feeling.

Ooh jars, sounds unnerving! I keep getting moments where my bump goes rock hard and loads of pressure but no pain and was wondering if this might be the beginning of BH?

Hope you're feeling ok.

Re the almost pooing in tescos i wet myself a bit at work today if it makes you feel any better... Blush

openerofjars · 18/05/2012 16:44

Oddly, it does! Just cried my eyes out over nothing at all. This sucks.

I am 36 weeks with dc 2 and having the same thing.. And the runs too. Isn't it lovely. Had to invest in some Andrex wet toilet paper for my poor bum.. How glam. No one tells you these bits!

I don't remember braxtons with dd but with ds this time they are really strong and painful at times, esp at night :( I'm booked for an elcsso I hope ds stays put till then!!!!
