Genie bra or similar? (Another bra thread, I know!)

I bought a nice new well-fitting bra at around 9 weeks as my ribcage/bust had already grown. Now I'm 17 weeks and it's getting uncomfortable - clearly need a bigger size again. I don't want to keep going for fittings and buying new bras every couple of months, so I am considering buying a crop-top style bra (similar to my sports bra), and I saw the Genie bra on one of those early morning teleshopping programmes (don't judge my viewing habits :D )

Has anyone worn a Genie bra (or similar) and would you recommend it? At the moment I'm wearing a 34DD.

They are very comfortable but offer no support for me. (E cup)

I am now wearing one of my other bras under to hold me up and the Genie on top to hold in the overspill until I take a trip away to the mainland next week and can get some new ones!

Hmmm, doesn't sound too good! I could well be an E cup now/soon. Mixed reviews on Amazon. I'm thinking of just buying another sports bra (I have a lovely one from Sweaty Betty) and using that.

I have a genie bra and it does me no favours in the support or shape departments (D cup). BUT, they are VERY comfy and great as a sleep bra as they are so soft with nothing to dig in.

Worth measuring to see if its just the rib expanding or cup as well. I went up a number and cup size first, then a couple of months later measured again and my ribs had gone up but not cup (so in fact I went down a cup because its worked out on the difference between the 2 - if that makes sense!).
To cut a long story short, I've been managing with the new bras I bought a couple of months ago, but using bra extenders to expand the rib size. I'm sure I will need to buy some more bras, but hoping I can hold out another month or so and then get nursing bras as I'm now 31 weeks.

Hot Milk bras are just wonderful, for pregnancy and subsequently for nursing. Well worth it.

im currently only 8 weeks but i can already see myself bursting out of all of my bras!
will a sports bra do the job for now until i need to invest in something sturdier?!

Debenhams have lots of Nursing/Maternity bras on sale!!! Also check out nursingbra-shop and boobie milk, I have searched online all weekend and got some great hotmilk bras cheap as chips (they retail from 33 full price). I also really like ANITA bras, they are really soft and wash well whilst giving really good support.
