what are the chances of a holiday if I go on to consultant led care?

Hi
I had a bleed yesterday at 26 weeks (I have a post on here about that) So far it's been mainly brown and the hospital did an internal and cant find any reason for it and baby is completly fine.
I am due to go on holiday and once there turn 32 weeks, I'm still midwife led care but they did say if it happens again I would be consultant led care.
As I'm going away at over 29 weeks I need a fit to fly note - what are the chances? I will be gutted if we have to cancel as its our last family holiday for a while :(

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hi Mia - must be a worrying time for you. Am glad to hear the scan went well &everything is ok with you & the baby. Where are you off to on holiday?

Personally, I would think twice about the holiday. This is coming from the perspective of having had a very premature baby. It was bad enough happening in this country with excellent medical facilities & the NHS - abroad in a country where I didn't speak the language, the facilities weren't good etc - I do wonder if my DS would have survived if born abroad.

It's also worth checking your insurance & seeing if you're covered for birth & a long hospitalisation, neonatal intensive care etc. Am sure it would all be subject to consultant approval & if the airline agree to fly you.....

Am hoping everything works out well for you & it's just been a blip

I would cancel the holiday. I had to cancel a holiday when one of my children was not fit to fly an whilst it is gutting at the time, health is more important.
