Two bagels for breakfast just now, and still starving!

Ugh, I am a bottomless pit of hunger at the moment. I've just had a very late breakfast, two bagels with marmite, and they haven't made the slightest difference.

I am 26weeks pg with my third. Is anyone else super-starving at this stage?

Me too! I have eaten my packed lunch already, I'm eyeing up reception as the Sweetie man has just topped up the £1 a bag charity sweets (resistence is futile) and will have to go to the canteen at lunch time. Crisps and biscuits are the favourite, I liked apples yesterday, but I took a bag with me today and I've had one and didn't like it. I'm 10 weeks with DC2, I will be the size of a house by my due date if I keep this up...

Ooh I could just eat a bagel. I am all about the bread! Not with marmite though bleurgh Wink

I've been munching all morning too.

Eating bread and white flour will make you starving.

I'm afraid its all about the good carbs, protein and plenty of fluids.

You could try a big bowl of porridge with milk and some fruit or wholegrain bread and scrambled eggs with some mushrooms/tomatoes for breakfast instead. It will keep you fuller.

For lunch have some soup as or with your lunch.

Eat lots of fruit.

That does but unfortunately its not always easy to practice. I've had porridge, marmite on toast (home made bread), a small dime bar and some sour cream crsips. I'm going to stop now until I have lunch at 1.30.

I'm like this most mornings, I just can't stop eating, although by dinner time I am full to the brim barely have any appetite left so I suppose that's something.

It's worth remembering that you dehydrate faster in pregnancy than other times, so a lot of our hunger probably stems from being thirsty, so make sure you are getting enough fluids. Not that knowing this appears to be doing me any good Grin

exexe has just made me crave scrambled eggs, I am so easily influenced! But yes, hungry all the time here, too.
One of my favourite things at the moment is brown sauce..

15 weeks tomorrow :)

Last night between 8 and 10pm I had : A toasted teacake with butter, 2 slices of brioche with marmalade, 2 crackers and houmous, a mini choc bar and a bowl of shredddies.
39 weeks.
I had eaten dinner at 6ish too.
Big fattie!

exexe · 17/05/2012 13:48

SwissArmyWife I love brown sauce at the moment too! As far as I'm concerned, all food is a vessel for vinegar or brown sauce!

I am a remorseless eating machine atm (24wks). We currently have about six choices of breakfast cereal because I keep buying more boxes for me to choose from when I'm hungry in the evenings. At work my lunch break is creeping in earlier and earlier.

I've had a cheese sarnie for lunch (more white bread...), with crisps and some fruit. And then 3 little choc bars. I am lazing around working from home and temptation is everywhere!

I also snack lots in the day (do eat lots of fruit but lots of junk too), and then am too full for dinner. I need to get some self-control, or I'll be humungous by the time I'm ready to have the baby.

Scrambled eggs on toast sounds yum though, might have that for my dinner...

exexe Ooh definitely, in fact, i'd run out of normal vinegar so when I had chips the other night I used balsamic vinegar on them instead Blush Grin

P.S. I had my scrambled eggs after reading this!

I am only 5 weeks and either feel nauseous or want to eat everything in sight. I am trying to resist but it is hard!
