Ttc on clomid. Just got peak fertility on monitor, dp out of town! Anyone get a bfp after doing it 3 days before ov?

Sorry about the long title, that pretty much sums it up!
I can't believe after all the swi last week (and I got positive ov sticks then so thought that was ov!) that it's come up peak this week.
Now dp is not here and I'm really hoping we haven't missed our chance this month.
So any mums to be out there who conceived 2-4 days before ov? We last dtd on sun, got peaks yesterday and today.

I was advised not to bother with OPKs when on clomid. Had been told they're not accurate with the hormones. But since sperm can live for up to 5 days, then the timing might be fine.

We just had sex every other day leading up to day 16 (if I remember right!). Took us 10 months mind you, so you may wish to ignore everything I said, but didn't want you to go unanswered!!

I was told that the problem with ov sticks is that if you wait til u have a positive, the opportunity of conception has passed. Best to have sex regularly over the peak time. I got pregnant this way. As said previously, sperm live for up to 3 days so you may find that they were ready and waiting at the right time! Good luck.....

Not sure about ov sticks etc, but yes if you dtd 3 days before ovulating you can get pregnant! my friend did this!

I wouldn't reply on ovulation sticks/tests when taking clomid- it can give false peaks due to the hormones you are taking. Just DTD every other day when you can (I know you can't whilst he is away). Fingers crossed that sunday's swimmers are still hanging around!
