Hi ladies,
At around 35 weeks i was admitted to hospital over night with light bleeding, i was told my babies heads engaged and ever since ive been getting terrible stabbing pains in my lady parts, Ive mentioned it to my MW and Consultant but all i get is 'its nothing just baby pushing on the nerves'.. However the further along im getting.. the more uncomfortable these pains are getting, sometimes a little breath taking.. I cant help but think its a little more than the baby pushing on my nerves, Im wondering if any of you experienced this during pregnancy? as this is my first and im a little paranoid. All your answers are much appreciated :) x

I'm sorry you are so uncomfortable :-( I have been getting the stabby pains for about 2 weeks now, I am 35 weeks and this is my 2nd pregnancy.
They're due to the baby pushing its head down into your pelvis, it hurts if you're standing up and is a little more bearable if you happen to be lying down! Just think that with every little stab your baby is moving its way down and out to meet you xxx
Are you monitoring baby movements etc?

I'm 38 + 3, having an ELCS with DD3 on monday, and I've been getting the stabbing pains for a couple of weeks, basically since the head started to engage. I think it is just pressure on my pelvis, but it feels like the baby is trying to pry my cervix apart with it's pointy little fingers!!!! Not nice, but probably pretty normal.

If the pain gets really bad, obviously contact the mw/hospital. Hope you can enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. :)
