Hi everyone, I've been ttc #2 for seven months now (with a mc in the middle) This is the first month I've ever really felt like something might have happened (feeling symptoms I remember from DD and just have the feeling!) but can't test for a few more days...

I'm moving house on Saturday and just wondered if it matters at this stage (or not!) if I lift things etc. My parents will be helping us and I don't want to say 'I might be pregnant' as if I am it's barely anything... And if I'm not it's ridiculous! But if there is something there I don't want to cause any harm to myself...

What would you do?

Personally I'd carry on as normal. But then I'm rather blasé in general.

I hope there's good new for you :) Agree with above poster. I'd just carry on as normal being careful not to carry the sofa or sideboard alone!
Stick to the more manageable items iyswim without having to give the game away.

As I understand it, pregnant women are advised against lifting because they might damage ligaments as the pregnancy hormones make them relax in preparation for labour. To the best of my knowledge, there is no risk to any foetus from lifting.

With my DS I found out I was pregnant when we moved but I didn't know. Was carrying boxes like a good 'un as we didn't hire movers, not to mention drinking celebratory champagne! DO what feels right for your body, if it hurts, stop! That advice would be sensible pregnant or otherwise mind you!

We moved when i was 4 months. You know your limitations, don't lift if you're not comfortable, just pretend you sprained your wrist or something if you don't want to tell.

I am in fact pregnant :)

Now I'm moving nothing! I shall dictate from a chair! Haha....

Congratulations Grin

Congrats xx :)

Obviously the advice is now to sit back, relax, and let other folk move the heavy stuff. Your job is to tell them where you want the boxes to go :)
