Horrible Cold & 36 week Hypochondria

I feel awful. Very sore throat. Stuffy nose but yet ridiculously snotty.

Can't sleep anyway because of bloody insomnia (awake from 4-7 most nights) but this making everything worse. I'm exhausted.

I KNOW it's just a cold. But I can't help wondering whether it's some horrible nasty thing that's going to do some damage to the LO and it's freaking me out (particularly as I was exposed to slapped cheek over 3 weeks back and the GP seems to have screwed up my immunity blood test so I have no idea whether I'm immune or not and the surgery have no idea what they should be doing in order to find the test results and whether I need to go in to establish whether I've had the infectio.. and, yes, they're clueless whether it actually matters at 36 weeks).

Would rather not be feeling like this at 36 weeks.

Anyone else out there feeling like crap?

Dosing myself up on Boots own vitamin C/paracetemol drink isn't doing much.

I have no practical advice but with just under 3 weeks to go until my baby is delivered can definitely sympathise with insomnia and feeling a bit crap.
I hope you feel better soon and that your GP can prescribe something that might at least take the edge off.
Wishing you well Thanks

Oh smallwonder I feel much better already. Thank you for the flowers!

It sucks, doesn't it? If I hear another person saying that it is "Nature's Way of preparing you for a newborn" I'm going to punch them. I'd much rather be able to sleep and be well rested before labour and 24 hours childcare thank you very much.
