Hi I am wondering if anyone is on baby aspirin? My doctor perscribed me a low dosage today as I am travelling long haul & I have poor circulation. My sister had a number of previous miscarraiges 2 wonderful successful pregnancys after taking the baby aspirin
Just wondering if anyone else has any experience of the baby aspirin? I am also taking a prenatal with omega oils & my folic acid.

Hi, yes, I took baby aspirin for my first trimester as well as Cyclogest progesterone pessaries (plus prenatal vits). I was prescribed them by my IVF clinic, although this pregnancy was actual a natural one.

I think I heard that if you have any bleeding you should stop the aspirin, but obviously check with your doctor if that happens.

Safe travels!

I'm on 75mg per day, I've had many miscarriages and it's been prescribed as a precautionary measure, I'm 24 weeks now and fingers crossed it seems to be working. I've been told I have to take it until 36 weeks.

I'm taking it too, it can reduce the risk of pre-eclampsia apparently, and my understanding is there are no side effects on baby or mum.

I had high BP at 12 week scan, although has been lower since then (not connected to taking baby aspirin, I suspect it was just a high BP type of day).

I am on 150mg a day - due to clotting issues. I have to take it until 34 weeks. I also inject cleaxane every night too :) All seems to be ok so far fingers crossed xx

hi im on a low dose of aspirin due to bmi and twins! have been advised by consultant it makes placenta work better not sure if this is due to having a big placenta feeding 2 little lifes :)

I'm on 75mg due to a pre-eclampsia risk. Started it at 12 weeks, I'm now 33. No evidence of any problems with it, though apparently if you start taking Gaviscon or similar anti-heartburn meds you have to try to have the aspirin at a different time, or it doesn't absorb properly.

Thanks a million for the replies girls.Alot of positive replies. My only concern is stopping the baby aspirin after the holiday as would such a sudden change when baby is still developing be bad so I may ask my doctor if it possible even to take to the 28 weeks so my baby can get maximum blood flow?
