I'm 12 weeks on wednesday and I swear I have felt a small kick just there, and movements in the last two weeks... could be wind I guess but not feeling too windy otherwise... is this possible? I haven't even had my scan yet!

I've been exactly the same. Felt DD around the 14-15wk mark, but this time, definitely feeling little thuds & twitching for the last few weeks. I would put it down to wind but for 3 reasons; its lower than I usually get windy feelings, its always in roughly the same place and I never feel particularly windy otherwise. I'm 13wks today (according to LMP as I too haven't had my scan yet!!). DH thinks I'm bonkers though and talking to my farts Grin

mrswee · 14/05/2012 20:51

hehe! My DH would say the same but I haven't even mentioned it yet as he will think I'm bonkers anyway. T
he 'movments' I am feeling are always in the same area and fairly low down, I am pretty sure it is was rising out of the pelvic area over the weekend as it feel solid just above my pelvic bone and everything else is wobbly belly apart form that solid area that wasn't there last week, plus I am begining to find it hard to hide the bump.
It is feeling like there's a lot of spinning and twisting.. when I saw my dd on the scan at 13 weeks she did lots of flips and spins so I guess that type of movement is perfectly possible at this point... not a baby book in sight in my house these days to check though!

It's my third pregnancy and I felt the baby just before the 14th week.

ItsMyLastOne · 14/05/2012 21:51

Is it possible your dates are wrong? I was having seriously unfeasibly early movements, but it turned out I was 14 ish weeks not 10/11 weeks.

Chunkychicken · 14/05/2012 22:01

I did keep wondering that ItsMy but my last AF was actually an early loss so I POAS after I finished bleeding (-ve), so I figured that that, plus the fact I used an OPK to check I ovulated at roughly the right time, I feel fairly sure of my dates (although my scan should clear that up!!). I do feel a bit mad though, cos I always poo-pooed anyone else's early movement stories & became really skeptical, and yet, it is very regular "movement"!! Confused

mrswee · 14/05/2012 22:34

I am sure of my last period date so I am pretty sure my dates are right, though I will know for sure when I get my scan next week. Could just be wind I guess!

Had my scan today. Dated as per LMP (although bubba only just within the normal range, as on the big side for those dates) and was exactly where the feelings were emanating from. So figure I'm not mad, just sensitive!! Grin

I felt DC1 at around 14 weeks, DC2 at 16 weeks. I am, ahem, slightly more padded this time round, which might have something to do with it.

mrswee · 16/05/2012 22:37

Congrats chunkychicken! I know you were waiting on your scan.
I've had a lot of wind Blush since posting this thread so may be I was imagining it after all! Can't wait till my scan, only 5 days now.

First pregnancy I felt first movement on the 26th October 2004 at 8.17am Smile I was 11 weeks and I was also very slim at 7 stone. I had a full bladder as I had just woken up and kept feeling this tickling sensation close to my pelvis on the right. That was over seven years ago now but i have never forgotten it.

Dd2, ds1 and ds2 I didn't feel until 14 weeks onwards.

Chunkychicken · 16/05/2012 22:47

Thanks MrsWee good luck with yours :)

ChocolateIsAFoodGroup · 16/05/2012 22:51

Fate that's so sweet!

I bet you keep a lovely baby book too Grin

For me, felt first movements with all three around 14 weeks. This DC - who is still inside, baking away Grin - I feel much less vigorously, as I have an anterior placenta, but still regularly enough to convince me that all is still well. Also, the Pregnancy Gods (or rather, the Newborn Gods, who owe me one....) assure me that smaller movements mean a quieter, sleepier baby!!! I might get back to you on that one....

Grin

Haha, I got one to keep and actually filled out very little! Hmm

When I felt the tickling, I actually thought at first it was that ticking you feel from a muscle. But I couldn't feel it by hand and I knew it was DD1. After that day, the first thing I would do when I woke bursting for a pee was roll onto my back and wait to feel her Smile I remember being really panicked about dd2 because I wasn't feeling her at the same stage!

FoxyRoxy · 17/05/2012 00:43

Around 14 weeks, proper kicks from 16 weeks and felt and seen from outside at 18 weeks. My Ob looked skeptical when he asked me at 18 weeks how long I'd been feeling movements but I'm very slightly built and had almost no stomach fat so there's not much between me and the baby.

SeymoreButts · 17/05/2012 01:34

With my first I didn't feel anything until 24 weeks, I didn't really look pregnant until then either.
I first felt my 2nd around 14 weeks, I'm 11 weeks with my 3rd now and nothing so far, although I have so much wind it would be hard to tell! Blush
