When did you get your first symptoms, what were they and were they there consistently?

According to LMP I am 5.4, according to my calculations I'm 5.1. First pg, been trying 18 months and has tiny bit of pink CM (none since Thursday though) so more than a little anxious. Have had sore boobs since I found out a week ago, but they seem to get more or less sore randomly. They are always a bit tender but sometimes worse than others. Normal?

From time to time really strong sense of smell to certain things. Again though, it comes and goes.

Otherwise I'm maybe a bit tired and occasionally very mildly nauseous. But neither so bad that I'm totally convinced I'm not imagining them.

Does this all sound normal for five or five and a half weeks?

All sounds very normal to me, its quite early to get any symptoms at all really.

Some people never really get any symptoms and they also come and go (the source of much mentalling in my household, my tits don;t hurt, I feel better, etc etc)

It is very hard to relax in the first few weeks especially if you have been trying for a while. I have had spotting at 5 weeks, twice it was a chemical pregnancy, happened again this time and I thought the worst but am now 15 weeks! Can you ask your hospital to do a beta HCG 48hrs apart, this should be doubling and is a good way of assessing what is going on at this early stage (its too early for a scan really)

Good luck!

Yes sounds normal to me aswell, but agree with farfallarocks, it's quite early on to be getting any full on symptoms.

Obviously morning sickness, being tired, tender boobs etc are all common symptoms. I have had all of these with both pregnancies (am 14wks second pregnancy) and have always been pretty consistent from around the 8 week mark - although some women don't experience many symptoms at all.

My advice would be to relax, and do a lot of positive thinking :)

Best of luck.

Thank you both. I know I need to just relax but not. I have an early scan next Thursday when I should be six and a half/seven weeks. Only ten days but feeling like a lifetime!

Thanks. Hope both your pgs continue smoothly x

Good luck with the scans, we had one at exactly 6 weeks and saw a heartbeat, it was the best flicker ever. I can remember the torturous wait to get to each scan though, it gets better as the pregnancy progresses I promise!

I started getting symptoms about 3-4 days after getting my BFP - tender boobs from time to time & and unsettled stomach (graduating into feeling nauseous after after a couple of weeks) were the main ones early on.

In fact, while clearing my email inbox in work before starting my leave the other week, I found an email I'd sent to a friend of mine a week or so before my LMP was due joking that I'd felt a bit rough for a couple of mornings but surely it was too early to have any pg symptoms (had been away for a week's holiday shortly before where DP's mum had offered to have the DSS's in her room instead of them with us so we could have some "alone time" Wink). Turned out that I had a sinus infection as well, but you never know...
